I finally found out that I'm 5'8", I was just delusional and thought I was 5'9". That being said, what's a good goal weight just simply for aesthetics? Not looking into bodybuilding or anything, but I'm currently 158 and just want to look good and feel better about myself.

Tough call. I don't think many people know what they're best weight is, but you can bet they want to look lean. Two goals in that, decreasing body fat is 1/2 of it, increase lean mass is the other 1/2.
This often involves a few bulk/cut cycles and of course heavier with less body fat is the goal. What I did is google some 5'8" celebs. I think Mark Wahlberg is about that height. I think at his most cut he was probably around 155-165 and 8-10% body fat. That's pretty cut. I think if you were the same weight as you are now, but with body fat around 12%? That probably means dropping down to 140 then bulking to 170, then cutting down to 155. Total guess though.
I got down to what I thought was 12.5% with not really much muscle and I'm 5'6" and was 130 lbs. I'm aiming for 145-150 at 12%, but I really won't now until I get there. That's probably true of everyone.1 -

I'm 5'8" & 157 w/just 10%BF. Measurements are 42-33-37. Very happy w/my physique. Was even suggested that I should compete. Look at pics of middlewight boxers for examples of similar body types.0

Picking a weight is not the way forward. At 18% you are in the ideal bodyfat range for a healthy male however from an "aesthetic" point of view you are not. Somewhere between 10-15% depending on your lean body mass and fat distribution would be better.0

You can go on bodybuilding.com and search for people your height and see their weight, body fat %, etc (measurements) for reference. I always get stuck in the 130s at 5'8, but where my abs are visible. Knowing this, it'll depend on your genetics, bone structure (small, medium, large), etc. A lot of those guys on that site take 'drugs', and admit to it, so it's hard to find someone natural that is a good reference to what you want to look like or similar to.
The weight doesn't really matter anyway... it's how you look. I learned that from Frank Zane.
The best idea is to see what you can do with your own body. There was one guy on bodybuilding.com who was 150 lbs. at 5'8 and looked the most aesthetic at that height. Here's a link to his body space: https://bodyspace.bodybuilding.com/rarlotti

Depends what look you want. If you just want to be cut and athletic then look at welterweight boxers or featherweight in the UFC. They are around your height, weighing in at a lean 140-150. If you want to look big then you'll have to put on a lot of muscle and get up to 160-170. What are your measurements in shoulders, chest and waist?0 -
