Hi! I'm Ariel. I am an ex athlete who has gained about 40 pounds over the last 4 years. 20 of which I'm trying to lose. I love love love food though so it's hard. I've started eating better. I've been running or working out at least 3x a week for past 2/3 months but I've accepted that my weight won't change substantially unless my eating habits do. So, for The last 3 weeks I've been eating salads for lunch during the week and oatmeal for breakfast. But it all fell apart during dinner.. but for the past 2 weeks I've been eating a healthy dinner as well. And that's where I am in my journey.2

Hello! I'm a 42 year old mom of two. I have struggled with my weight all my life. I am trying to lose between 80-90 pounds. I lost about 60 pounds about 10 years ago using a weight loss program. Unfortunately when I stopped, it all came back on, plus some. For a while, I just decided that being overweight was just who I was and that was acceptable. But lately, I've been re-thinking this. My father is extremely overweight and has been steadily declining in health, mainly due to his Type 2 diabetes. I follow my father in most physical aspects. I do not want to go down the same path! So, after hearing about the MFP app from a good friend and seeing the results she is having (down almost 40 pounds!), I decided to give it a try. I have my daily calorie goal, and am eating so much healthier without relying on a "program". My go-to website is Skinnytaste.com. I absolutely LOVE it!!!! Even my picky 7-year old likes the recipes I have made so far. I am also exercising 4-5 days per week, for 45-60 minutes. Zumba is my favorite! I have been logging my food and exercise since May 20, and so far I have lost 11.4 pounds. Just a drop in the bucket, but definitely on the right path. I also am setting little rewards for myself for every 10 that I lose. I am getting a pedicure for my first 10...still deciding on my next 10... This is definitely a choice you have to make and have the mindset to see it through.5

Hi there! I'm Donna, I'm 51. I'm 6 months post op from open heart surgery. I had a valve replaced. It was a sudden thing and I'm thankful I was as healthy as I am and recovered very well. But it has prompted me to loose my weight that I gained 15 years ago and have never been able to loose. I want to get healthier for the next curve ball! I hope I can find the support I need here and maybe help someone else at the same time.
Oh and I have two teenage boys at home and a husband who works a very physically demanding job. These guys eat like there's no tomorrow. I seriously need support!1 -
35 year old husband and father of two, and a busy business executive. I'd gladly add any one who is serious and looking for some friends to round out their feed. I'm down 27lbs and would like to lose about 60 more.2
