Keto flu

I have the keto flu and have so much work to do. I've made a rocket fuel bone broth and drank a low carb green drink. I also drank pink Himalayan salt with water and took some turmeric. Any other suggestions?

I really didn't get the "keto flu" as I adapted, I had some slight abdominal pain/discomfort and a little diarrhea but that was it. You might want to read through THIS discussion.

Are you supplementing with potassium and magnesium citrate? That helps a lot!

Thank you! And yes I do. I have been supplementing with those for a while.

Powerade Zero - made all the difference for me. I was extremely well hydrated and added vs cut salt. It didn't hit me that hard at all.
    Good luck!

Sometimes it helps to just back off a bit. When I had it, I sipped a coca-cola filled with ice and it helped. (I'm from the south and there is not anything that can't be cured with a coca-cola!) It's also about your sugar balancing. If you don't drink sodas, a very strong hot tea with a boatload of sugar will do the same thing. It dilates the vascular system and raises your blood sugar. Saltines with butter are also good... if any of those things work, it is definitely your blood sugar.

It shouldn't last for more than a few days but a hot cup of bouillon broth always had me feeling great. Also figure out what a good net carb count is for you. Not everyone is the same, I keep mine between 20-30 net and never have issues staying in ketosis. However my boyfriend keeps his under 20, usually closer to 10. I wouldn't drink simple sugar though. If you feel your blood sugar is too low eat a couple berries or nuts.
