Welcome - Only 14lbs for me, but I find dieting bloody hard - If you have any tips, i'll be most greatful !3

Me too! I started at 297 & trying to get to 150. The elliptical is best thing for me. I have a toddler who won't let me go to the gym & he's too big for me to push in a stroller & walk. I lost over 40lbs 2 years ago with one but gained that back & more when hubby talked me into selling my machine so we wouldn't have to move it. Facebook has awesome yard sale groups. I just got a "new to me" elliptical for $100. Already down 2lbs in 3 days on it.9

Started at 350 working my way down to 180. Currently at 271 at last weigh in. Feel free to add me always looking for more like minded people and for more recipes!7

I wanna lose about 4 stone so still quite a lot to shift. Have already lost a stone so getting there. The more moral support you have the better. Add me if u like X2
-
I have lost 62 pounds, but I still have like 80 to go added you2
-
I started with 160 to lose, and have lost 53 so far.
Anyone is welcome to add me. Be warned though, I post a lot... and not always diet/exercise/fitness related stuff.5 -
Well I'm 272lbs and the lightest I've ever been as adolescent was 245lbs.
So honestly I'd be fine with being 250 again, but wouldn't be against shooting for 200 or less.
Right now I'm at the "Just don't give up exercising" stage. XD4 -
I have 134 lbs to lose just to get to 200. Anyone feel free to add me!2

I'm on a similar journey, I am going to lose another 100 lbs this year, already lost 24lbs since I started with a PT in mid November.
If I can share what I've found, denying yourself food or foods doesn't work - eat clean, unprocessed food for your main diet & moderation on the rest - stay in your MFP target & log everything - even if it puts you over!
Exercise is everything & don't shy from the weights as well as cardio - it accelerates your base metabolism rate & really helps.
Try not to "lose 100 lbs ... rather, lose 1lb but 100 times" ... don't know why but that makes me feel better
Add if you wish... I don't ramble on quite as much but do log every day!

That's also what I try to do, eat healthy regularly but if I want a small bite of something I don't deny myself. It helps with the temptation and doesn't make me want to eat bad later!3

230 here, down to 225 now buT eventual goal is 150. My main issue? Portion control. I struggled with eating issues when younger, I also wasn't allowed to eat junk so now that I'm an adult and can shop for myself, I've made the wrong choices and binge.4 -
I'm in the same boat! Looking to lose 120-150. I'm looking for motivators for myself, and people I could motivate any way I can. I sent you a friend invite.3

I'm back on MFP and have about 100 to lose, but my first "Big" goal is to get under 200. I need new, active friends since I've been gone for a while.2

Not quite that much to lose, but here are some techniques that helped me. Don't eat within 3-4 (or more) hours of sleep. Yes you will be hungry, but think of the hunger pangs as a "PacMan" that is eating up the fat. Also, a lot of the world goes to bed hungry and gets up hungry, but I know I'll be able to have breakfast. Also, the hunger pangs help me to pray and contribute through a Christian ministry to aid those less fortunate.
Another aid is collagen hydrolysate, available through greatlakesgelatin.com (I'm uncompensated). Do your own research. This has the added benefits of helping your hair, nails, and joints, while stimulating the human growth hormone while you sleep (unverified). Drink lots of water when hungry and practice the Kegel exercises (Men and women) when you void. All kinds of added benefits and it keeps your mind off food.
Good luck! BTW I've lost 15 pounds in about six weeks, with 45 to go.2 -

I have over 100 to lose...again. Lost 90 lbs about 5 1/2 years ago, but let a miscarriage and then the birth of my now 4 year old son totally derail me. Just started back a week ago. You'd be surprised how much the connections on MFP can keep you encouraged and focused, especially on the tough days. Excited for you all.1
