Successes / struggles this week: I get in the habit of munching at night, but I've recently started Intermittent Fasting, which has really helped with this. I stop eating by 5pm, and then eat breakfast the next morning. I am proud that this makes me feel more in control.2 -

Successes / struggles this week: Dealing with a really stressful situation that's been going on since late April, and the past couple months my binging issues have been worse than usual. I've been playing with the same 15 pounds for years, and I desperately want to break that cycle. I'm afraid of self-sabotaging myself- every time I do, my confidence that I can do this goes down and I feel like my chances of succeeding decrease. I need to break the cycle to get my confidence back and continue to get healthier.3 -

Had a very bad headache today, and so canceled my planned cleanse day (nutrition-supported intermittent fasting) in order to eat low-cal so I'd have something on my stomach with the Excedrin. Head pain may have been influenced or worsened by a food allergen.
Saw this challenge and thought it's time to join the community, for real. I also registered today for a 16-week nutrition and wellness challenge and hope that both challenges will help me stay focused and motivated.2 -

I am excited to participate. I am 34 and as most people in my age group, i was taught to "clean my plate" which typically consisted of fatty meats, multiple starch vegs,and some kind of desert with a big glass of sweet tea. (I'm from Alabama). In doing so, I have spent my entire life overweight. This month i decided to join Birmingham Bariatrics Food Program. It's a great program that i really enjoy. I do have a really long way to go. My goal is to be able to keep up with my 9 month old son.

So I have lost a bunch of weight then gained back a lot...I struggle with a bunch of stuff mentally and then life in general dealing with some major issues and it's just plain crappy mostly. So that means I'm going to have to really be on point with the diet if I expect to meet my goal. I already have a long commute, but I might have to commit to at least trying to get up at like 4 am while she's here to try to maintain at least the same amount of gym hours that I do now.

Today is my birthday, so there will be cake! I actually was at my goal weight of 140 in May, but lost focus. So back to being serious! I have a 4 year old son and twins who are 22 months old, so they keep me busy. My 29 year old daughter is coming over tomorrow and we are doing some freezer meal prep, which should help!
