6/27: Just graduated and am looking for a job, also just married my daughter off, so I have been very stressed out. I wanted to be in the 140s by now, but I am glad that I am at least maintaining through all of the chaos. July should be a bit less stressful.2 -

I've been back at MFP on a regular basis for the last month and lost 5 pounds during June. Now I need to keep going - instead of falling down as usual. I've worked out from my data in the last month that my TDEE is 1848 cals and I've been averaging eating 1265 cals a day. So now I know what I need to do for the month ahead.

Successes / struggles this week: I am one week in to cutting gluten out of my diet. I have had stomach problems for the last few years now and I knew gluten could be the culprit but was too stubborn to cut it out. One week in and I have had virtually no stomach issues all week, which is unheard of in my life. I have been much more conscious of what I am eating and planning much better. I am feeling very encouraged. I am also cutting back on my alcohol consumption, which might be even harder then cutting gluten. I am only allowing myself to have drinks (a glass or two of wine usually) on 3 of the 7 days of the week.

Successes / struggles this week: I get in the habit of munching at night, but I've recently started Intermittent Fasting, which has really helped with this. I stop eating by 5pm, and then eat breakfast the next morning. I am proud that this makes me feel more in control.2 -

Successes / struggles this week: Dealing with a really stressful situation that's been going on since late April, and the past couple months my binging issues have been worse than usual. I've been playing with the same 15 pounds for years, and I desperately want to break that cycle. I'm afraid of self-sabotaging myself- every time I do, my confidence that I can do this goes down and I feel like my chances of succeeding decrease. I need to break the cycle to get my confidence back and continue to get healthier.3 -

Had a very bad headache today, and so canceled my planned cleanse day (nutrition-supported intermittent fasting) in order to eat low-cal so I'd have something on my stomach with the Excedrin. Head pain may have been influenced or worsened by a food allergen.
Saw this challenge and thought it's time to join the community, for real. I also registered today for a 16-week nutrition and wellness challenge and hope that both challenges will help me stay focused and motivated.2 -

I am excited to participate. I am 34 and as most people in my age group, i was taught to "clean my plate" which typically consisted of fatty meats, multiple starch vegs,and some kind of desert with a big glass of sweet tea. (I'm from Alabama). In doing so, I have spent my entire life overweight. This month i decided to join Birmingham Bariatrics Food Program. It's a great program that i really enjoy. I do have a really long way to go. My goal is to be able to keep up with my 9 month old son.
