So tired of trying one diet after another.

I like meat. I don't crave any sweets unless I get bored and have a little bit of low carb protein bar or something along those lines.
I do ok on weight watchers unless I eat bread or a food that has raisins, fruit, or nuts
It is so hard to make a life style change when I can't decide what to eat for a long time goal.

Why can't you decide what to eat for a long time goal? Hint: You can eat anything you want.13

what matters for weight loss is a calorie deficit..
set MFP to one pound per week weight loss
get a food scale and weight all your portions
log everything accurately and consistently
make sure that you use correct MFP database entries
keep protein high
get sufficient nutrition
continue to eat the foods that you like within your calorie goal
if you do this consistently you will lose weight and keep it off.11 -
You don't have to decide "what" to eat, just "how much" of it you can eat a day. Everything in moderation, you can eat everything you love as long as you're staying at a deficit. :]9

Diets don't work. Diets don't work. Diets don't work.
Eat healthy for life. Log everything here. Get a food scale.8 -

I eat food. Primarily food I know I like, but here & there I'll try new things as well.
Think of your nutritional needs like a budget. When it comes to your finances, you know how much money you have yes? You know you need to pay rent, and buy food and such. Once you take care of the things you MUST pay for, you figure out what is left for the things you want. Then perhaps you have to make choices. Sometimes you have to find balance between needs and wants. You need transportation, you want a sports car: but you don't want to pay an extra $20,000 for the sports car and the higher cost of insurance that goes along with it. So you buy a more modestly priced car instead. You may want to partake in several hobbies that each have a cost factor, but you may need to pick one as you can't afford them all.
Its the same with your nutritional budget, for calories. Your body needs protein, healthy fats, fiber, etc. Primarily eat foods that you know will meet your nutritional needs, and with what calories remain: enjoy snacks/sweets/etc. that you want even though you may not 'need' them.
How the sports car analogy relates to food: maybe I want pizza, but I only have 500 calories to 'spend' on dinner. So instead of eating half a pizza (or more!) I eat 1 slice for 300 calories and have a salad on the side.7 -

Do this and you will succeed.2 -
Eat all the foods.
Just don't eat ALL the food.10 -
Weightloss is from a calorie deficit.
You can eat fruits, veggies, and green smoothies all day but if you go over you'll still gain weight

Stop dieting.
Start eating in a deficit.5 -
When hubby and I eat without restraint, we eat enough to feed four. Of course, the total number of pounds for the two of us equals that of 4 slender folks. Measuring is key. Making choices of how to stay with a calorie limit is key. So, yes, when our daily diet (yes, we all have a daily diet) is out of control we eat a lot of bread and butter. When our daily diet is in control, we consume less bread and butter because they are so calorie dense. We measure and we limit. We haven't "gone on a diet." We have brought our daily diet under control.5

^^^ so much this.
Eat what you want, just not AS MUCH as you want. Make sure you are meeting your nutritional needs, but at the same time don't cut out all of the things you love.
Stop "trying everything" and just learn how to manage your daily calorie limits.2 -
I don't think you need to decide now what you will eat for a lifetime. Make sure to log what you eat, and be careful of quantities if it's high in calories.0

I've done WW, South Beach, etc., but prefer the "Eat Less, Move More Diet."
I focus on the foods that fill me up the most and save a little room in my calorie budget for treats.0
