Hi everyone! New here and loving this app. Why didn't I know about this before?? I have a question for everyone: I have a no carb mentality so when it comes to my macros, I've come short on carbs but gone over on fats and proteins to make up for it and manage to stay within cal. Has anyone done this and how has this worked for you? Do you still feel hungry? I should say I workout 4-5 times/wk strength and cardio.

Hello...Welcome to MFP! My workout schedule is similar to yours. However, I do not deprive myself of carbs, I do tend to go over in sodium more than I do in fat or carbs. no matter how over I am, I do manage to stay under my recommended caloric intake. On ocassion I will earn more calories if I burn too much from physical activities. This usually helps. I think the reason I don't hungry as as much is because I include carbs in my diet. Not just any carbs, but good carbs from whole grain, vegetables etc...I need the carbs because I workout hard.

Hello, Effectively I am doing what you described. I concentrate on Protein which kinda excludes carbs and fat(when possible). I do exercise 4-6 times a week (Hand Cycling) I do HIIT, Long cardio, short intense cardio then a recovery day. Repeat. As for hungry, I don't really feel truly hungry that often. There are days though. I can run a pretty high deficit at times so it kinda comes with the territory. As far as it working, yes it has worked for me. Been doing this a couple years now. With the exception time frames where medical things prevented me being active my loss has been pretty consistant. Hope this was helpful or at least encouraging. Good luck reaching your goals.
