I had RMR done and mine is 1230. What should be my calorie goal daily to lose 1-1.5 lbs per week? Thank you!

Have you put your stats in to MFP? What do they recommend? (they don't work off rmr)0

Unless you're pretty active, 1.5 lbs a week is probably unrealistic with an RMR of only 1230. If you're at least lightly active and get a bit of exercise on top of that, you can probably manage 1 lb a week, but to get an exact number for a calorie goal, you would have to give us all the information that MFP asks you for to give you an estimate, so why not just go with that?0 -
Don't want to give height and weight?0

Sorry I was tired when I posted last night. 5'6", 148. I work in an office so mostly sedentary throughout the day. I work out 3-5 days a week. Gym during the week and hikes in the weekend. I was down to 138 but was really unhealthy. MFP has me at 1200 for 1.5 and 1400 for 1 lb loss a week. I am removing the option to eat calories earned because I feel it is always over calculated. I want to get back to at least 143 but lose 10lbs of fat and gain 5lbs of muscle. Thanks.0

Well, my measured RMR is 1156 and when I had my BodyMedia (still pissed that Jawbone bought the company and ruined it) my average burn was 2300-2400 a day, mostly from just moving around a lot, not exercise. I maintained my weight for 7 years eating to my BodyMedia calorie burns. So yeah, 1.5 pounds would make you miserable, but 1 pound per week is absolutely doable.0 -

To have a daily burn of 2300 on an RMR of 1156, without exercise, puts you at MFP's "very active" level, if not above, I'm pretty sure. So that suggests you were moving around a lot.0 -
Well OP you're in the normal range.
I would even suggest you go on .5 lbs per week and put it on cruise control.
Since you hike you should be eating protein and some fats for energy.
I'd go with 1600 cals per day and I'd eat back my workouts (conservatively) ofcourse1 -
1600 plus eating calories back seems high to me for a 40 year old female that has a sedentary job. Maybe I am wrong.1

Entirely depends on activity. A typical sedentary calorie burn from that RMR might be just under 1500. To lose 1 lb/week would require an intake of 1000 cals/day and people on here will have heart attacks and report me for saying so. But that's the maths.
If you think 1200 is a minimum food intake (MYGGWY) then you'll need to add at least 200 calories of extra activity and not "eat it back".0
