    Yea!! Happy Ground Hog's Day Everyone,
    We made it through Super Bowl Weekend!! Up early this morning and did CP1, I felt really drained for some reason and sweated more than usual. Not sure what that's about but was really glad I did it!!

    Hey glad to hear everyone is starting out to another great week! Just finished Fat Blaster .. I have to say I think I am addicted to that one! I just love how it makes me sweat .. so therefore I must be working my butt off!!

    Morning Ladies....morning schedule is off due to DD but oh well I'll get my workout in at some point today.
    I did PK&J yesterday morning so I didn't feel guilty about munching during the game. I will probably do CP today and then we will see if I can get anything else in.

    Deedun-I'm happy you love it enough to order more dvds. That's great.
    Dragonfly-if I drink soda or eat not so great foods, my workouts always seem harder, so maybe it was just what you ate and/or drank yesterday.

    Beeks happy to see you still with us!! I have to admit Fat Blaster is still not on my list of favs....maybe I just need to do it some more.

    I will probably check in again once I get my workout in. Happy Monday/Groundhogs day!!

    Sorry your schedule is off ~ that bugs me when that happens. I really depend on my routines, they keep me headed towards the goal. I's sure your afternoon workout will be great.
    I had considered that too but I was on my best behavior yesterday . Don't laugh, but I even took my own turkey sandwich to the super bowl party and a Kashi bar and fruit in my purse, just in case..
    I was glad I did b/c there was not one thing that wasn't smothered with some kind of sauce, queso, or the like. Not that anything is wrong with that but after doing PK & J yesterday morning I just didn't want to............but that fried chicken sure looked good:laugh:
    I quit soda 3 years ago ~ even diet, so I'm not sure what the tired was all about.. Maybe just Monday morning.:grumble: I did not want to get out of bed.:grumble:

    I am sore everywhere today :grumble: especially my back so I am gonna give myself a rest day although I am itchin to do something!! I think the TS and PK&J have finally caught up with me :wink:

    Tomorrow I plan on doing the 20min dvd + Ab Jam.

    I have ordered my HRM and I cannot wait to get it and find out how many cals I'm buring..

    Dragonfly-you are amazing...NO soda...I have to have one every once in a while. I certainly do not drink it as often as I used too. My pregnancy last year forced me to cut back and after she was born I was so ready to start losing weight I just knew it couldn't become a habit again. I think I have two 12 oz cans a week...sometimes less. Great job planning ahead and takin your own food to the party. I made some healthy things but it was the pizza that got me...even though it was delite pizza I probably had one too many.

    Deedun-I love my HRM. I got it for christmas and I've been so happy with it. Before I got it I was actually working out TOO HARD, but now that I can keep track I stay within my target zone. I'm sore today too, so I only did one workout today.

    I got CP in but I don't have time for anything else. I gotta get showered and get somethings done before it's time to go get my son from school. Hope everyone is havin a great day!

    Hope you all had a good day (at least for a monday :grumble: ). I did PK&J and 3T yesterday before the game so I could have some wings :wink: I've been working on the kitchen remodel today for about 14 hrs straight so I'm off to soak in the tub. Don't think I could manage a TJ today if my life depended on it! :yawn:

    I got up extra early this morning and completed the 20min + the first park of AbJam!

    Then I looked outside and its snowing.. We're snowed in:grumble: could of stayed in bed :grumble:

    I might do an extra workout later on but If I do I wont be able to eat those extra cals..

    Do you all eat your exercise cals here??

    Good morning! WTG on your early morning workout! :drinker: I've also been getting in some extra workouts because of the snow and it is hard to eat all of the extra calories some days. I generally try to eat some of my exercise calories (about half) if I can and I've never had problems with not continuing to lose weight. The only time I plateau in my weight loss is when I'm not working out at all and just try to stay in my alotted calories (1200) for a non-exercise day. Actually I've never eaten ALL of my exercise calories, but for me eating half of them works. I'm sure others have found different things that work for them though, but the bottom line is that if you want to get an extra workout in today and can't eat all of those calories I don't think one day will make a big difference.

  • So I seem to have lost the DVD with the 5 original Turbo Jams. So I no longer have Ab Jam. I'm not to concerned about the others because I have some of the newer Turbo Jams, but I feel like I need Ab Jam. What do you guys think?

    Hey Jam Family,
    Good morning all - tried TS this morning for the first time and glutes and thighs were letting me know they were worked - miss all of the activity of the cardio, though, and the music but I know I need to add strength training to up my metabolism - ok, so going to follow Chalene's plan and do it 2x week.
    I saw an couple unfamiliar dents in my waist - my husband said "Hey, you've got a 2 pack!!" Ladies, the only pack I've every had was a back pack or (when I was drinking) a six pack!! :laugh:
    I'm tickled pink! Some results!!
    Megan - 14 hrs of remodeling - I'd definetly rest my body , that's hard work!!

    Drevansmom - DOn't worry about the pizza; trust me if could have fit pizza in my purse I would have brought it with my~ sure do love good pizza , my weakness!!

    Msplatts- Drevansmom and the others have been at this a lot longer than I have but I try to do AJ at least 2-3 times /wk but I really need it.

    Jacquiline0821- great job getting in daily exercise!! keep up the good work!

    Meanness- I am scheduled for CP2 tomorrow - i love it too

    Deedun - If you feel it then that means it's working, lol!! Keep it up!

    I usually eat all my exercise cals just because I love to eat. If I'm REALLY trying to behave myself then I just eat 1800 cals total no matter what I've accumulated in exercise calories. You need to do what works for you, just don't eat less than 1200, cuz your body will think it's starving.

    If you feel like you need it, you better check amazon.com and see if you can find it. I recently bought TJ Live Booty and Abs and it's a good/fun workout too. I haven't been working my abs as much as I think I should...and it's starting to show. I need to start doing Ab Jam every other day or I'm never gonna lose this flabby tummy.

    Congrats Dragonfly! Thats awesome. I have a LONG time to go before I see those kinds of results but I know I can get there....eventually!

    I'm feeling rather unmotivated in the workout department today. Going to have to force myself to do it. Love the workouts I just don't feel up to it. I just feel like eating and being a bump on the couch...ugh! I better get outside and get some fresh air today too. Maybe the cold air and the sunshine will lift my spirits.

    Drevansmom - Hang in there!! You definetly will get there. I've got such a long way to go still!! My co-worker and I were just talking about how much sunshine effects our mood - it's been really dreary here for the better part of the past week and all of us were so ... blah!! We've got sunshine today so all of us were standing around just feeling the warmth on our faces and it made us smile. The days when I have to really try hard cuz I don't feel like moving are the days I count best of all. I know you can do it!!:flowerforyou:

    I took the last 2 days off while we were away (took the kiddos to an indoor water park), but I'm back at it today. Just finished CP and 20 min workout. I'll probably do pilates or some sort of strength training once the kiddos go to bed tonight!

    Thanks Dragonfly for the encouragement. I did get my workout in. I did CP2 and then I walked 2 miles. It was a beautiful day and I just had to get out and enjoy it. I still feel blah but not as bad...now its more like exhausted. Gonna plant my butt on the couch and watch biggest loser tonight :smile:

    You folks seem to be knowledgable about turbo jam. I am already pretty fit and workout 5 days a week. I am looking for some variety and something I can take with me when I travel. Turbo jam sounds like something I would really like (I already have P90X). Do you recommend Turbo Jam or Turbo Jam max results?

    I LOVE Turbo Jam, and I'm pretty sure the other ladies on here do too! I've never done P90x. I was thinking of getting it but I have so many different DVDs and I ALWAYS go back to TJ so I'm just gonna stick with it. I'm very happy with the results; I think it's the perfect combination of cardio, toning and weight training. I travel alot too and I just throw my DVDs, band and hand weights in my suitcase every time.

    To my Jammer Friends: Keep up the great work ladies! I did PK&J and Booty Sculpt and Abs today. Has anyone used their HRM on Booty Sculpt? I'm just wondering how many calories it burns.

    Hey still here .. I took yesterday off cause I was just having an off day .. but I am back and ready for today! Plan on doing 20 minute and ab jam! Plus i have some skating later and maybe if its nice out might take the kiddies for a walk after dinner!

    Glad to see you all are doing so well! I hope to get a scale in soon so that I can see how my progress is going! My clothes are feeling not as tight so hopefully that means i'm losing! Well hope you all have a great day! Take care!:flowerforyou:

    Megan-I clocked 340 cals for Booty but I'm a lot bigger than you so....take it or leave it :flowerforyou:

    Good Afternoon Ladies!!
    I'm here, i'm here!! What a morning so far- Slept straight thru my alarm clock and woke up at 5:10 , have to be out the bdoor by 6 to make it to work on time- I did 20min TJ this am and was so grateful I could get that in. I have gotten so used to working out in the morning and this is the first time I've had to short myself!! Scheduled for CP2 when I get home and I am already rehersing it in my head.
    Employee drama here at work - Can't wait to punch something :laugh:

    Last night I did Lower Body Jam & then made the mistake of doing Level 1 of 30 Day Shred. It was exhausting. Plus I rented a body bugg and found that I only burned about 326 calories during this butt kicking. So, I am definately doing CP2 tonight. I need to burn more calories!! Has anyone tried the 3T workout?

    I have P90X. It is mostly weight training type of activities & it's pretty intense. I like to do it every now & then.

    How do I get my weight loss chart to show up?

    I just finished CP, Ab Jam, and then I went and did Levels 2 & 3 of BL cardio Max (not nearly as far as TJ...but wanted to change it up some). Have a great afternoon all!!!!

    I got CP3 done. I'm actually starting to like that workout despite the audio/video glitch in it. I don't really watch the screen much anyway so I just jam to the music :happy:

    msplatts- I believe you go into Tools at the top of the page and click on Tickers and it will walk you thru it.

    Dragonfly--you got up late and you still did your workout...Now that is dedication....or just crazy not sure which :wink:

  • msplatts, The 3T workout is really great for toning, especially upper body! I try to do it at least once a week.

    gottaluvboyz, I'm exhausted just thinking about that workout! WTG :drinker:

    and Dragonfly...Dang, you're committed!!! Next time I think I can't work out cause I'm running late, I'll just think of you and get my butt moving!

    Drevonsmom, thanks for the calorie info. I estimated about 200 cals, so with your count I can at least feel like I didn't over estimate :flowerforyou:
