I love iced mocha coffee! My coffee addiction has always been a downfall for my dieting in the past. I know I should just stop drinking coffee, but I won't do that. Anyone have recommendations or suggestions on a sweet iced coffee with less calories (preferably with mocha).

I like lattes, myself. My thing is unsweetened vanilla almond milk with cinnamon and 85% dark chocolate. It's 15 calories yet surprisingly satisfying to my sweet tooth.

If you really want sweet sweet, about your only options are stevia or some kind of sugar free syrup. But try very dark chocolate and cinnamon first. You could also ask for fewer shots of mocha, and almond milk, and gradually wean yourself to liking it less sweet.

You can use a low-fat chocolate milk and a sugar free sweetener/flavoring. That would probably save significant calories. No reason to give up coffee, though.

Starbucks Iced Skinny Mocha has 120 calories per 16 ounces, per their website. I make an iced latte at home with 2 shots of espresso and some Silk unsweetened vanilla almond milk, and if it's not sweet enough I put in a packet of Truvia sugar substitute. The espresso has zero to 5 calories, the almond milk has 30 calories per cup (I usually use two cups), and the Truvia zero calories. That's 65 calories for a refreshing caffeinated yummy drink.

Good. Giving up favorite things (or our life blood!) Is not a good idea, if you want to be successful long term.

For my daily morning coffee cream or half and half plus Splenda is perfect.

When I go out for coffee? I get an iced americano with lots of extra room and add a vanilla premier protein shake. 175 calories and 30 grams of protein. It's delicious.

Nothing wrong with coffee but yeah the add-ins can pack a calorie punch! I used to put all sorts of things in my coffee until I had a cup of high quality stuff and WOW, what a difference it makes! The kind I use now has such a rich flavor that I only add 1/2 of a packet of Splenda and that's it. Before I was adding over 100 calories of flavored creamer etc. Along with that I bought a cheap coffee grinder and grind my own beans now and that makes a difference too, (and you can keep fresh ground beans in the fridge for quite a while so I do a weeks worth at a time).

I've slowly cut down the add-ins and the size ... Now I make an iced coffee at home with sugar free syrup and almond milk I let the ice melt down some and am happy with it. They have chocolate almond milk too. I'd say slowly change how you make them have less and less mocha till you find what you can handle and like! Splurge once in awhile and get a real one just make it work into your calorie day!!

If you love the mocha flavor, have you tried adding cocoa powder to the grinds? I honestly have no idea if it will impart enough of a cocoa flavor for you, but I add in cinnamon (and a dash of salt) to my grinds and it makes coffee so much better! Maybe if you get enough of a kick off the cocoa powder, you can just add in a splenda and milk to get the same effect you're going for without as much of a calorie punch.

Personally, I drink 105-140 calories of delicious flavored/sweetened creamer in my coffee everyday ;)

I put two spoonfuls of instant coffee (bustelo(it's strong)) in my protein shakes (with ice). Tastes like a frappucino no sugar added, just whatever the low amount the shake comes with. Gives me a break in flavour too so I don't OD on the same flavor every day weeks on end.

If you're ordering in a cafe, you could get a regular iced coffee and add nonfat milk. That's one of the drinks I enjoy in hot weather. If they have sugar-free mocha syrup, you could have them add that too. You may be able to get it decaf, if caffeine is an issue. Another option is iced chai tea with some nonfat milk and sweetener.

I sometimes put Ovaltine in my coffee, hot or iced. I'd bet any hot chocolate mix would work. I usually only need to use about 10 calories worth, and then a little milk or cream. Just keep lowering the amount of milk/ creamer and flavoring a little bit each time until you hit the lowest you can go. I still treat myself to a 200 cal iced coffee once or twice a month, but every other day my iced or hot coffee is more like 40 :)

I make cold brew at home in the summer time. I have a few different sugar free syrups. A really good one to try is Torani sugar-free s'mores. I fill my cup with ice, pour the cold brew over it, add 1 tbs half-and-half, and 1/2 tbs of syrup.

Make and chill coffee, add chocolate protein powder, ice, some "milk" if it fits your cals - blend!

Thank you all! I will definitely try some of these options! I have always had issues "drinking my calories."

Cold brew, a scoop of chocolate protein powder, and almond milk (or other milk as preferred). Depending on milk or protein used is about 150 calories with 25g protein, makes it worth the calories because the protein fills you up.

Sugar free caramel syrup or vanilla or pumpkin or cinnamon dolce, etc with cashew milk and truvia is better than any sugary calorie laden concoction!
