I am all fueled up with a 510 calorie breakfast and ready to conquer the day! I'm 43 years old, 5'2", a wife, a mother of 2 young children and currently 123.8 pounds. I've hit my goal weight of 124.0 but just reset it to 122.0 because that is the weight I was in 1989 when I was the same weight. I'm always looking to trying new things and my breakfast has stayed the same for a while except I switch up the fruit every day. Sometimes I will use the same ingredients and make an omelette. Looking for some ideas! What did you have for breakfast? Please post a photo if you have one. :)

Below is what I had this morning: 2.5 scrambled eggs (yolks included) with chopped spinach, white onion and diced smoked ham. Half and orange, one slice of 12-grain toast with 1 tablespoon of reduced fat peanut butter. The object at the bottom is a multivitamin. Finally, a bottle of water to wash it all down. Yummy!

Not pictured (I forgot to include it) is a 16 oz coffee mug of mocha cappuccino. I never start my morning without it! That's the one treat I allow myself without guilt. LOL!

    I also had a 500 calorie breakfast:

    50 grams of oatmeal
    a large banana
    fried egg
    peanut butter
    strawberry smoothie (a large mug)

    My stomach felt so satisfied.
  • I try to do the 4x400 plan: 400 cals 4 times per day. So this morning I had my coffee w/turbinado and FF creamer, a slice of whole grain toast, 1 T PB and 1/2 med banana. Very tasty and 368 cals.

My breakfast is usually the biggest meal... (Sometimes, I split it on my diary, cause it is kind of embarrassing). But, at lunch I walk for my hour. :blushing:

My breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and usually the largest too. I'm not embarrassed to log it at all. It's usually between 450-550 calories. LOL!

My breakfast is typically my smallest meal. I'm totally guilty of being a dinner splurger.

But anyway today for breakfast I had:

    1 banana
1/2 a Caramel Nut Brownie Luna Bar
    16 ounces of coffee
1/2 cup Almond Milk (coffee creamer)

About 227 calories and pretty tasty/filling.

    1 tablespoon chopped pecans
    1/4 c. Go Lean cereal

I don't have the answer to that. I can only comment about my own experience and in my case, a bigger breakfast meant huge weight loss. You can read about it in my blog below my ticker called My Journey. My day usually goes something like this:

    Breakfast = 450-550 calories
Morning snack = 150 calories or less
    Lunch: 350-450 calories
Afternoon snack = 150 calories or less
    Dinner: 250-350 calories
Evening snack = 150 calories or less
Water = 8 cups each day

Again, what worked for me was to eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper. I try to follow that concept on most days.

I tend to eat a light breakfast as it means I have all day to spread out my calories on lunch, snacks and dinner depending on what I do.
Ive been eating just under a cup of muesli topped up with cornflakes, with almond milk and a sprinkle on cinnamon. It's tasty! I'm not a fan of cooking breakfast as I usually get up, eat, then do the previous nights dishes. Keeping the dishes to a minimum makes my life easier.

That's exactly how I divide my meals. I have a big breakfast, a medium sized lunch, and a light dinner. Any leftover cals I set aside for snacks.

    Your breakfast looks really good!

Lately I have been having a smoothie every day. I'm always in a rush in the morning so it works well for me, I drink it in the car on the way to work. Some low-calorie juice, banana, usually strawberries and whatever other fruit i have (or frozen berries if I don't have anything fresh), and I usually add some protein powder in there as well. Lately I have been putting raw baby spinach in there to get extra vegetables, you can't even taste it!

    Yes. :)

Edited to add: It is an instant mix that I get from Sam's Club. The mix is 100 calories and then I fill the cup with water. I just keep adding more water throughout the morning to warm it up. But I don't add any additional mix.

I had a whole wheat tortilla, 1 scrambled egg, 2 slices of bacon, and 1/4 cup 2% cheese. Usually don't have the bacon, but had a house guest, so splurged a little. And I always have my coffee with white chocolate mocha creamer. Mmmmm.

You know, I need to do some breakfast tacos or burritos. This just made me think of it. Thanks!

I had a banana... Like most fatties, I'm a breakfast skipper so it's really hard for me to even eat the banana. I always have at least SOMETHING though.. I TRY to have a cup of plain low-fat but not fat-free yogurt with berries that way I'm getting carbs, protein and fat, but that doesn't always work out so when I don't have that then it's just a banana.. sometimes I just call my breakfast "pre-breakfast" and then have "breakfast" at like 10:30 which is when I have my largest meal... lunch at 2 and supper at 6 or7 with small snacks in between if I need them.

Thanks....I was just kind of curious without doing the math what the food part of your breakfast added up to. I am not a coffee/cappiccino gal so the rest looked fabulous. Might give it a try in the morning and see how it goes. Thanks again!

I had a cup of chocolate soy milk, as I do just about every morning. Then I had some toasted seaweed a couple of hours later for a snack.

Wow your breakfast looks so pretty XD whenever I make eggs they never come out looking that good haha.

All I had was a slim fast for breakfast, to which I spilled most on my desk moving my hand too fast trying to reply to something earlier lol

Reading all this makes me think geeze I haven't had a nice breakfast in awhile, think I will plan something tastier for tomorrow :P

I also tend to eat a bigger breakfast. I find if I don't, I'm much more likely to snack and eat anything in site. :(

    This morning I had:

    1 fried egg (yolk included)
    A plain toasted bagel
    1 slice of american cheese
Two slices of Jennie-o oven roasted deli turkey.
    A glass of FF milk.
480 calories in all. YUM! :D

Oh, and a few sprays of Olivio butter.
