"Are you trying to find a man?"

I don't know about anyone else, but it drives me NUTS every time someone comments on my weight loss and then asks me if I'm trying to get a boyfriend.

First of all, "finding a man" is the last thing on my mind since I already have someone. Second, there are more important reasons I'm working on getting off this weight; my knee replacements could last longer than 10-15 years, clothes look better (and easier to find than when I was a size 32), and most important, I'll live a longer, healthier life.

Why on earth does anyone think a woman's main goal for losing weight is getting male attention? Anyone want to chime in their thoughts?

    Preach, Henny

But like that's what people expect. You know like men are supposed to be with women, men and women wear men and womens clothing and the whole life goal of a woman is to find a man

I'm kind of old school. I appreciate taking care of my man but anyway

    Yeah

I've found plenty of men even being bigger. Hell, I'm still a big girl and have had no issue with that. My ex hubs used to get upset when I was losing weight though. I always got the "oh you're gonna get thin and leave me" types of *kitten*.

Haha .. that's funny about your ex

    Is this a common thing?

People get a "I feel sorry for you" look on their face when I tell them my reasons. I hate that look. I don't need that look. I've accepted it, I don't need pity. I wish people just wouldn't ask me.

I get asked that ALL the time. And I say "what? I'm not gay!"

(Not that there's anything wrong with that)

I'd say 'Yes' to this question and explain that men like to hide in very narrow and hard to reach places, that's why I need to be very fit and strong

Did you look under HIS bed?

Found em! They were hanging from the chandelier in the entryway.

Oh, that makes complete sense. I am guessing your shirt was on the front porch then?
