Macro's vs Calories

Hello everyone, just a quick question.

So I've used up all of my protein macro's today but I still have 600 calories left to eat today. How important is staying within macro's for weight loss? I know that macro's help balance food choices so you get a well-rounded diet, but is going over macro's okay or should I simply not eat anything else today?

Thanks!

I'm curious for an answer too. I'm struggling with macros. It's tough juggling the carbs, fat, protein so I meet the goal for each. I then think I get a good day in for meals/snacks and see I'm at 1050 - 1200 calories. I need to be more around 1300+.

Protein and fat macros are the minimum you should eat, you are fine to go over them.

Make sure you have enough protein and fat most days. It is ok to go over.
Carbs do not matter --- you can go over or under.

Set up your macros so that when you fulfill them you hit your calorie goal as well

It will already do that for you. Counting macros is just a way to calorie count.
Carbs and protein are 4 calories per gram
Fat is 9 calories per gram
