Any women doing a intermittent fast i.e. 5:2 or 4:3? For weight loss?

Im thinking of doing either of these for a relatively quick weight loss boost alongside counting calories the rest of the time.

You won't lose faster, it's just a way of structuring your eating that may or may not be a good match for you. You'd need to count calories all the time to make sure you're not overeating on "feasting" days.3

This but aswell to make sure your eating enough on feasting days. Its not meant to eat at deficit on your feast days aswell as having fast days its unhealthily undereating and youll crash and burn if you try0 -
Hi I'm doing one week of 5:2 where I do hiit and strength training on the 5 days I'm eating more and then eating 500 calories on the other two days and no exercise. Just doing leasurely activities or yoga. It seems to be working as it helped me break through my weightloss plateau! I was told to measure food but that would drive me insane. I find this much better! I was stuck at 154lbs for a year going between 154 and 160lbs but this week I weighed myself and I was 152lbs!0

5:2 or 4:3 (if you have more weight to lose) should not be faster weight loss. That's not the purpose. It's just a way of structuring your calories to make it easier for you to be consistent.
Zig-zagging your calories for a very low weekly calorie average doesn't make drastic calorie cuts safer.
Here are links to a couple of the groups: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/100058-5-2-fasting

The "more" calorie days should actually be closer to maintenance.....not additional "diet" days.
