Hey all,
Just a quick one - how often do you all weigh? I do once per week, does anyone do longer / shorter than that?
Thanks ☺️

Once a week/10 days. I got a bit down when I weighed myself every day - it is harder for me to see improvements when I am losing about 2 pounds a week. I'd start to get upset and then eat badly. So once a week works best for me.0

Hey, same as me - I can't do everyday especially when I'm in work my patients would think I'm barking lol! Once a week is fine for me too ☺️0 -
About 1-3 days a week. Beginning, mid, end. Sometimes less though. I am (honestly) one of those where daily fluctuations drive me nuts. I don't know why though ... lol0

I weight daily and use Happy Scale (IOs app) to track a moving average.
I often see a 1kg "gain" after high exercise/high salt/higher carbohydrate days.0 -

I weigh everyday precisely because of the fluctuations. If I weighed once a weak it is very possible to weigh on day with a high fluctuation and it might seem as if I gained. If I weighed everyday I would have seen the low value on the very previous day and not get upset at all.1 -
I'm addicted to weighing in I do every morning n track my progress0

Every few days.0

Maybe I need to weight a little more often in scared of the scales mind lol0

Once a week before I eat anything. Normally Sunday or Monday. This week I did measure twice on Sunday and Monday just to verify the measurement.0

Yeah measuring is a good way too, maybe I will start measuring and weighing once a week on a set day and see what the scales show...0 -
I love weighing in everyday and getting those data points. I'm not freaked out by daily fluctuations - to the contrary, seeing them makes me more sanguine about trusting the trend than if I had just a weekly weight check that would have me wondering whether that was just a high day or a low day or what.2

daily - it has destigmatized the number on the scale - now its just a data point = I can see how sleep, sodium, steps, exercise etc all affect my weight0

I weigh on a Monday...If I don't like what it says I weigh again on Tuesday and so on lol1

Every day. I log it in the Libra app.
On Wednesdays I record the trend weight (provided by the app) into MFP.0 -
If you plot a chart for a year with weighing daily vs. weighing weekly, it will look basically the same. I just do it once a week on the same day at the same time. Probably best to pick Tuesday-Friday first thing in the morning, but if you don't go out Friday nights then Saturday morning is probably a good choice as well - imho, of course.0

Daily, in the morning before eating or drinking anything. I input the number in Happy Scale app on my iPhone, and watch the downward weight trend. It accounts for the fluctuations, so I'm not freaking out about any temporary gains.0

Every morning. Really helped open my eyes to how different foods effect me.0

Same here although I use Weightgrapher.0 -

^^^this! No--I actually only weight once a month. Or even less frequently. I don't own a scale because I'd be obsessed with it, and it's the least important tool that I use to assess my success. Body measurements and how my clothes fit tell me much more about whether I'm meeting my fitness goals.
Weighing once a week seems entirely reasonable, but weighing once a day isn't really going to tell you anything.0 -
I weigh daily and use a trending app.0

Daily - helps understand why you fluctuate and why it doesn't actually matter.
I just note any trend in a casual way.
It's data, why be afraid of a device that gives you useful data?1 -
I don't like to keep a scale at home due to history with eating disorders.
I weight myself every other week at the gym. It's really difficult to wait sometimes, but I feel so much better about myself knowing that the number I see represents my overall process better.0 -
Thanks everyone for your help on this- I am going to have Sunday as my weigh day, and so I am going to weigh same time and day every week, I think if I weighed Daily I would be to scared to eat and end up licking a lettuce to survive lol!0
