UFC Fitness Trainer...BS!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so I just wanted to post on here to see if anybody else uses those "video game" fitness trainers to help you get in shape?
I figured that I could spend the $50 or less for the product, bring it home and stick to it. Eventually I'd end up saving money on not having to continually pay gym membership fees, get motivated enough to drive to a location to work and then have to deal with stinking in my car the whole way home.
In any event, I bought the UFC Fitness Trainer for my ps3 and with the move it worked out pretty well for the first couple of days it seemed to work out great, it got me breaking a sweat, changed up my routine for me, motivated me, kept track of my "estimated" calories burned and the like. However when I turned on my PS3 today all my saved data, for my 30 day weight challenge was suddenly gone, my wifes data was still on her account but mine vanished out of thin air...I dont want to have to continually start over a 30 day program if I'll be doing the same type of thing every single week...or is that ok?
Again, I'm not sure if anybody else is having this issue, or even uses this. But hey, this is what these forums are for right?

Time to call customer support and see what is happening. Doing the same thing again will not hurt you, but it is nice to be able to maintain your progress. They may be able to help you out.0

Check out EA Active. It's a good workout that track. I'd call UFC Fitness customer service too.0

I would definitely call someone about this, may be a malfunction with the game. There is also a website for it you may want to check out. If you would post the result of what you find out as i also was interested in this game.0

the only real reason I'm upset is that it tracks your progress over a period of time inside the game data. So you can see how many calories you burned per day doing each exercise and it also graphs if you did cardio (how much) core (how much) ect ect. so its a great tool, again I just don't want to continually lose the data because then it just feels like I'm doing the same thing over and over....I think I'll take your advice and call customer support and see what they say.0

Ok, so I got in contact with THQ and they said "We have no idea what your talking about" Fantastic.
So I continued with my game as normal starting the program over. I was 9 days (not counting days off) short of completing my program and guess what happened? Yup, it "lost" all of my current data. So I called again, and I got the same run around. They wanted me to send off an email to their support team and explain my problem but they didn't see any reason to incorporate a patch for a non known issue.
However, after searching the boards I have discovered that several people who own the XBOX version of the game have a different sort of problem. People are having their game freeze or a few days after completing several exercises the game back dates the data and says that people actually missed exercises. VERY FRUSTRATING INDEED!
Now, all that being said and not actually going to a gym or having tried any other types of fitness games I have to say that I really think that this game does wonders for me and my exercising needs. Every day I'm breaking a sweat and although I don't think I'm getting my heart rate up to the required number at a constant rate I wake up every morning a little sore but getting better as the days pass. I have lost 5 pounds in 4 weeks and my wife has already commented that she is starting to see my abs (WOOT!) so I will continue to use the game even if with its current problems, but only because I already own the game.
Here is my advice to you if your interested in the game;
if you don't mind losing the ability to track your data or have to work even harder to acquire trophies then buy the game, you wont be disappointed. (I found a way around the trophy problem but that's a separate issue).
(2nd) However, do not believe what the game says for calories burned on any of the "hit the mits" routines. I'm sorry but I find it impossible to burn 300 calories in 3 minutes punching and kicking nothing but air, or even 50 calories in 1 minute on an easy routine, when doing 15 pushups in 15 seconds burns 5 calories.
There is my 2 cents, and to anybody who is interested in this game I hope I helped you in making a purchase decision.0
