Jillian Michaels Whey Protein

So I bought the chocolate flavored Jillian Michaels whey protein shake mix stuff.
I have NEVER tried a protein mix before but I think some extra protein in my diet would do me good. So I plan on having a shake in the morning for breakfast tomorrow....how do you guys suggest I prepare it?
Keep in mind it is chocolate flavored. This is what I have that may go well with it:
Almond Milk
Skim Milk
Banana
Ice
Peanut Butter
Almond Butter
Fruity flavored yogurts
I can't really think of anything else. I can't picture myself using the blender in the morning...it seems like such a pain to get it out and then clean it and everything. But is it better as a frozen drink?
How do you guys like it? Have you tried this brand? Does it taste any good?
Thanks for your advice!!

Never tried but have always wondered about it. Let us know how you like it. That's been on my "one day I'd like to try that" list. Hope it works out for you and the list you got going sounds like it would work great with the chocolate flavor.0

It was the very 1st protein powder I had tried...I didn't know anything about using a shaker cup at that time! So I would just mix a scoop into a glass of skim milk- ewwww it NEVER mixed well, extremely clumpy! Now I have a shaker cup and bought a different stawberry brand that I shake with a glass of water and pour over ice! Yummm. NO CLUMPS0

I have the vanilla & mix it with strawberries, banana, ice and sometimes Oikos Greek plain NF yogurt for extra protein. I bet chocolate would be really good with skim, vanilla almond milk, almond butter(my preference) or PB, banana, or Greek yogurt with a tsp of Truvia or Light Agave nectar.
I have the most wonderful mixer that is a blend & go cup (great for heading off to work)! It's made by Hamilton Beach and costs just under $20. You mix, blend, and then just twist out the go cup! Not the mess of a blender.0 -
Make it as cold as possible. I blend mine with ice, and occasionally a banana. I prefer musclemilk brands flavor, so you may wanna try it someday too.0

I've never tried that brand. I like to mix my powders with Oatmeal ) Or for a smoothie option, freeze up those bananas!0

I personally drink light soy milk with it, but almond or skim would be fine. . . I don't put anything else in it. . Unless you want an added kick of berries or something. I use a hand blender. . . works great. . Love this shake.0

I use a different brand but I add 2 oz of 0% greek yogurt, 35g rasberries, 35g blackberries, and half a scoop of GNC super fiber to my chocolate whey and it is delicious. I use a personal size hamilton beach blender - it's much more convenient that dragging out the big one.0

I ran the numbers on Jillian Michaels protein... not that impressive at all. Usually protein powders that are really tasty have lesser amounts of "protein" and more additives to make them... tasty!
Here's the numbers I ran: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/302943-confused-about-protein-powders
Actually, about 2 cups of fat free skim milk gives you MORE protein than Jillian's whey protein at about 1/3 of the price.0 -
So I tried it this morning! Not bad! I just put one scoop into 1.5 cups of skim milk, some ice, shook it up a bit, and drank it. Didn't even blend it. I bet it would be awesome blended though.
@m3bella, I just bought the smallest and cheapest protein powder I could find because I wasn't sure if I would like it or not. I am sure I will try other brands after I finish this one.0 -

I use the same blender, don't you love it! Great for a smoothie breakfast on the go!0 -
I haven't tried the JM brand but another one in chocolate flavor and I use Silk light vanilla soymilk. I shake it (rather than stir) because it mixes better.0
