Hi
I want to lose 20 pounds, then I will be at my goal weight. I have been trying for over a year now, recently I lost 6 pounds but then 2 weeks later I gained it back. I try tracking my macros but I always get lazy, especially at the end of the day
i am 5'7, 139 pounds for reference.

Do you have a question or concern or are you just looking to meet some people?

5'7", 119 lbs would be just underweight, is there a reason you are aiming so low?

You are already a healthy weight, so to lose more you need to be as accurate as possible. Use a food scale, log accurately, and aim for one-half lb per week weight loss. You won't see that small a loss show up on the scale every week, as it can hide behind water weight fluctuations, so you need to be patient.

You might want to reconsider your goal weight, and look into recomp instead. Eating maintenance or a small deficit while strength training may be a better option.

Honestly your weight is OK. I am two inches shorter than you and your goal weight is lower than my current weight, and my BMI is only 20.

I don't track macros at all.

You're at a healthy weight (almost right in the middle of the BMI "healthy range" for your height) and aiming at the very bottom healthy weight for your height. At your size, losing weight requires patience and tighter methods. Trying and being lazy aren't going to cut it. Doing and being consistently attentive are going to be required.

lol im like the least lazy person ever, I swim about 150 laps a week, and I bikeride alot, as well as long distance running. However I am vegan so I need to be careful with my nutrition

    Maybe you are lazy.....

From your OP: " I try tracking my macros but I always get lazy . . . "

I imagine this is what @jemhh was responding to.

theres a difference between me calling myself lazy and you targeting me and calling me names, if you have nothing nice to say dont say anything

That was less an attack that it was some straight-forward advice on what you might have to adjust -- based on your own self-evaluation -- in order to meet your goals.

Trying to track and giving up due to any reason (which could include "laziness") isn't going to get most people the results that they want. How would you like that phrased?
