I want to be able to eat but the voices are screaming at me and won't let me I don't know what to do even the thought of food makes my anxiety skyrocket. I'm eating less and less and I don't want to go down this path again please help me make it stop does this happen to anyone else and what have you done to stop it?

Oh honey, this is a bad situation. Pop along to see your doctor and have a chat with them, you do need some professional help here. Bless your heart, I wish you well xx0

See a doctor1
-
Thanks all. I have actually already been to see a Dr but they were completely dismissive because even though I have lost weight I am still overweight xo0
-
Then see a different doctor until one pays attention to you. A psychiatrist would be your best starting place.3
-
Tell your doctor how little you are eating and how guilty you feel about eating. You need to be seen by an eating disorder specialist.1
-
You say again. Have you been diagnosed with an ED before? If so, I would speak with your old treatment team about it.1
-
I have been diagnosed with an ED before, but noone really took it that seriously. I have a psychiatrist for other issues and he just kind of dismisses it when I try to talk to him about it.0
-
Are you currently at a healthy weight?0
-
-
I'm actually overweight because I used to be morbidly obese due to bingeing not that that's anybody's business. You can have an ED at any weight0
-
Tell your psyche doc everything you said here. If you have other anxiety issues that are more pressing s/he may just be trying to get you stable first. If you are hearing voices, I have to wonder if your meds are not the right ones.
(I know, none of our business...but I've been around a lot of psyche patients.) Maybe you could ask to have your meds adjusted.0 -

Yes you can have an ED at any weight, but being overweight may explain why doctors are dismissing you when you say you are not eating. Do you have photos of you being morbidly obese? Maybe if you show them how much weight you have lost and say you are afraid you will continue losing indefinitely they will take you seriously.0 -
I have a nephew living with me, and he seems to have the same issues. One thing that has helped him is finding one food he is comfortable with, like a turkey sandwich, and eating that. He only eats turkey sandwiches. I know it's not ideal, but it's better than starving which is how he used to be. I agree you need to find a good doctor.

You don't understand that other obese people don't judge like people who are at a healthy weight do.1 -

@angel5392 I completely understand not wanting to share numbers and being judged. I don't share numbers either, and frankly, it's no one's business.
Feel free to friend/message me. Sometimes it helps to have an unbiased and non judgmental friendly person to talk to.
Much love2 -

Then what is the rationale behind wanting to know my weight?

Then what is the rationale behind wanting to know my weight?
I believe the initial question was asked because there are a lot of people who come on saying they are starving themselves and are overweight when in fact they are underweight so it's to see if this was one of those cases. Those people often refuse to post their weights so they won't be found out.
Just fyi "normal" weight people are not more judgemental than obese or underweight people. Not sure where you got the idea that we are all nasty mean judgers1 -
