Then what is the rationale behind wanting to know my weight?
I believe the initial question was asked because there are a lot of people who come on saying they are starving themselves and are overweight when in fact they are underweight so it's to see if this was one of those cases. Those people often refuse to post their weights so they won't be found out.
Just fyi "normal" weight people are not more judgemental than obese or underweight people. Not sure where you got the idea that we are all nasty mean judgers
Life experiences have shown me enough.
I can tell you as a slightly underweight/ normal weight person that I have had many many comments from overweight people about my body. Just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Plus the attitude that all normal weight people judge others but obese people don't is ironically very judgemental.0 -

Some normal weight people judge, some overweight people judge and some underweight people judge. Yes I get medical people take EDNOS claims less seriously if you are not considerably underweight (you'd be surprised that they don't believe you if your bmi is above 19) but actual eating disorder specialists and treatment centers are more educated. I underwent inpatient and intensive day hospital with a few overweight people. I get binging and purging, I get EDNOS and how it's hard to get treatment with that diagnosis (I was EDNOS and am now EDNOS but when I was in active treatment I was changed to anorexia binge/purge. I couldn't get a referral until my bmi dropped below 16 because I never lost my period until than and at that time it was part of the criteria)0 -

Thanks for sharing your experience. I know all too well they don't believe you with a bmi of over 19, mine is much higher than that. Sorry to hear your experience was bad as well. I wish I could afford a specialist0 -

Yeah there is actually. 1. Cos all you're gonna do is judge me. 2. The only person who knows my weight is me, even my fiancé doesn't know me, it brings me anxiety to tell other people.
So i post in your thread trying to help, but you know better that its just to judge you? Ok then.1 -
