I am looking for suggestions of songs to add to my workout/running playlist. I have a fairly eclectic taste in music, including Country, Rock, Pop, Hip Hop/Rap, Christain. I also enjoy music from every generation ('50s through today). I just need songs with a good beat and songs that will keep me motivated.

Thanks in advance for all the wonderful ideas!!

some of my current mixes include:
    Mardi Gras - Dierks Bently
Dog Days are Over - Florence and the Machine
    Chelsea Dagger - The Fratellis
    Freedom - George Michael
    Jackie and Wilson - Hozier
A lot of songs by Imagine Dragons (such good beats)
Shake it Off - Taylor Swift
    Snapback - Old Dominion

I was totally thinking about a post like this last night too! Looking forward to other suggestions!

I used to pick workout songs by their BPM (beats per minute) so I could find the right tempo for whatever workout I was doing. There's a website called https://songbpm.com where you can find the BPM of any song or look songs up by their BPM to find all different music that will work for your workout

I'm a huge fan of the songs "something I'm good at" by Brett Elderidge and "beautiful drug" by Zac Brown Band

I love to listen to eminem when i workout. Not many people (girls mostly) like him but, he is a great motivator for me. I find I workout better because I am so focused on the lyrics that I engross myself in them while pushing myself to run or walk to the main beats. Most other music I find doesnt really work for me because the lyrics or beats aren't engaging enough.

Spotify is really good for finding what works for you! I highly reccommend it!

I use the Rockmyrun app. Free and I put up with them trying to sell me on it every so often. One day I may pay for it, but I can rummage through to find things I like that work with my cadence.

i listen to a lot of 80s rock when i run- poison, journey, van halen. i also get a lot of motivation from movie songs- the rocky songs gonna fly now, eye of the tiger, hearts on fire, no easy way out. from karate kid- you're the best around, from the legend of billie jean- invincible, and st elmos fire theme. just to name a few. good luck :-)
