I just used the principles here. I ate less and moved more. I had done all the crazy diets. I had a lapband installed (and removed) and nothing had worked for me. I finally started logging my food and walking. I am 60 years old so not doing the gym but I walk 8,000 to 10,000 steps 6 days a week. I am off all the meds I had been taking for years except synthroid. Truthfully it works. Take your time and be patient. If I can do it, anybody can.

            Congratulations!! So good to hear- I start to think it's impossible! Any tips on logging or getting your steps in? I just found out this morning (by weighing food instead of measuring) that my portion of natural PB - my favorite- is 2x what I thought I was consuming (2 tablespoons). That could explain a lot:(2

I just started out small and worked up. When I got my Garmin Vivofit2 I tested to see what my average steps were for the first week or so and found I only got in about 2000 steps a day so my first goal was 4000 instead of 10,000 like most people. I work in an office and sit all day so I started taking the longest route I could to the washroom. With all the water I was drinking I made that trek often, lol. I went out for 15 minutes at lunch time. One thing I learned on this journey is that if you set small regular achievable goals you are more likely to stick with it. I still have to force myself to weigh my food. Guesstimating is dangerous. Good luck you will make it if you keep on working at it. One step at a time.Congratulations!!
