Hi all, I've lost 20# over 6 months which I'm so excited about, but I can't seem to lose the last 10. I've been staying the same for a month. I eat paleo mostly... I hate to cut out fruit, I've already reduced my fruit to one per day VS 2. I box 5x/week, an hour each time, so do I need to add more exercise? What are your thoughts? Thanks

What is your height, weight, and goal weight?

Are you tracking your calories? If so, are you weighing and logging everything you eat?

When you come close to the end, you don't have much wiggle room. This means your logging will have to be PRECISE. If you don't have one yet, I would suggest purchasing a food scale to weigh everything on to ensure you aren't eating more than you think.

How? Wait. Keep yourself in a calorie deficit and be patient.

Sorry to say this, but you'll have to reduce calories a bit more or maybe wait longer. Your weight loss will really taper off as you get closer to your goal. 20 lbs in 6 months is perfect, but the last 10 lbs might take another 6 months, depending on your body fat of course. Your stats are important for this part.

One of the things you can do is to do a TDEE calculation for your goal weight and eat to that number. That will slowly take you there. If you want it faster, try 100 less than you're goal weight.

There are lots of fancy ways of helping you achieve your calories. The ones I favour are upping protein (I like 1 g/lb bodyweight) and skipping breakfast (keep the coffee) basically eating all your calories for lunch and dinner.

you havent mentioned calories - the one thing that matters. how many are you eating a day and how are you measuring them??

I'm having 1400 per day and use a food scale... Wondering if I should drop to 1300?

YOU decide your goal weight, and this includes which pounds are the last 10. Keep in mind that a lower weight takes less food and/or more exercise to maintain.

When you lose weight, your TDEE goes down, which means that in order to continue losing weight, you have to eat less, or lose more slowly, or both. At any rate, you need to track more diligently if you count calories.

If you love fruit, why are you cutting it out?

Exercise doesn't burn that many calories. Exercise for health and wellbeing, not to lose weight.

You may need to tighten up your logging, accuracy becomes really important when you're close to goal
