Hi all!
I started my weightloss journey at the beginning the year. While I could post a long post about my "story" and "journey", I'm actually going to write about it on my personal blog later. I will post that later today.
Here are 3 comparison photos of December 2016 to just about a week ago. The solo face picture is from earlier this week.
While this is just a starting point for me, I still have about 100-130 to go. However, I feel some more motivation is needed right now!

You are doing great. The photo in the doorway is pretty dramatic. Keep up the good work and just keep it moving forward.
I am in the same boat. As of this morning I have lost 37 pound and have about 100 to go. It can be quite daunting for sure. Just try not to get too far ahead of yourself. Focus on each day, just try to do a little bit better than the day before or the week before. Focus on how you feel at the lower weight and how much more active you are, the scale won't always reflect your progress as much as how you feel. Even if you only lose 1 pound a week that is still forward progress. Even if you slip up on the diet, try to let it be just one meal not a whole day and then get right back at it. Try to be as kind to yourself as you would be to a friend in the same situation, and don't beat yourself up over slip ups. Also make sure you get 8 hours of sleep, it really does help with weight loss. I think the most important thing I have learned on this journey is to set myself up for success, if you are traveling or going to be out try to have a plan for what you will eat and exercise. Also make realistic goals for yourself. I know that I myself set goals that aren't realistic and then when I don't make them I get discouraged and/or give up. Of course we would love to lose this weight tomorrow but we didn't put it on in 1 month, or even 1 year it is going to take time to lose it we need to be patient with ourselves and the process. I have also started to set goals of things I would like to do when I hit milestones, like when I am under the 200 mark I am going to go hot air balooning. When I hit 175 I am going to do indoor sky diving and going to buy myself a bike. When I hit the 100 pounds lost mark I am taking a trip to go white water rafting, do a ropes course and mountain climb. So, there is no time table but definitely rewards and things to look forward to.
Hope this helps motivate and encourage you on your journey
Best Wishes to you

Dude! Be proud of that progress! I started at the beginning of the year and have only lost 22lbs. I don't think there's a "standard" for loss, despite what the stupid little red tracker at the bottom of "complete your day" might lie and tell you.
In the end, you do you and you'll get there. I gotta remind myself of that a lot. Fantastic job so far!1 -
That is wonderful!1

Huge congrats on your losses so far and I hope for the best for you! I am sending you a friend request. Hopefully we can keep each other company and motivate each other. I have been where you are and still am and will always be on this journey myself, even when I do get to my goal weight because for me it isn't all about the number on the scale, it's about the quality of my health and life.1
