I fast two days a week from 18.00 on day one to 12.00 on day 2 but the food diary really doesn't like it. It suggests i am consuming too few calories. Is there anyway i can adjust my settings to reflect a 5:2 diet?

No. But you don't have to close your dairy -- it's completely optional. Just don't close on the days you are lower calorie.1

Fasting "works" if it helps you maintain a calorie deficit. It's just meal timing. 5:2 is eating at maintenance 5 days a week and eating 500 (600 for men) calories 2 days a week. "Dieting" just 2 days a week helps some people be consistent.
IF - eating windows type dieting: 16:8 - 16 hour fast, 8 hour eating window......lots of different "windows." This helps some people meet their calorie goals on a regular basis.
The jury is still out on whether these diets "are good for you." Losing weight is good for you. Adding exercise is good for you.
I read the 5:2 book (Mosely) and ALL of the evidence is anecdotal. Many people would have seen health improvements anyway.....that doesn't mean 5:2 had anything to do with it.
