My wedding rings (from 2015) were size 8. I bought a cheap size 7 replacement earlier this year. This week, I had to buy another replacement ring: size 6! Never thought I'd have fingers that small...25

I've been going to the gym at least every other morning (sometimes more) for over a month!! I credit this mostly to my amazing husband, as we have been going together and he encourages me.31

Two NSV today -
I went into Wegmans today during my 3pm slump... I had zero willpower and wanted to buy some snacks so bad! Walked out with grape tomatoes instead.
I routinely do laps around my neighborhood. After I finished my run, I was walking to cool down. Two older ladies stopped me to say they've been watching me over the last year and are amazed at my progress and weight loss. I actually inspired the one older lady to start mall walking every morning. She's 87 years old! Shows youre never too old to work on improving your health!53 -
I had to spend quite a bit of money last weekend because my clothes are starting to look silly on me being so baggy. In pants I've gone down from a 1-2X to a large, and tops from an XL to a M. It's crazy to think I will soon be in size small tops and size medium bottoms!30

Treated myself to a massage tonight, and I swear the table was bigger. There's so much more room on each side now!27

fitting into my size 10's when in the beginning of the summer I couldn't even zip them up20

I was ravenous yesterday afternoon and really wanted a cookie. I even got the package out and looked at it, but then I thought "this will put you over your calories and it won't make you any less hungry." So I put the cookies away and chugged some water instead.32

I went on two walks today totaling 2 hours! I am gaining so much strength in work outs21

Last night I ended up having to stay late at the office, until almost 9pm. Before, when I had an unexpected late work day, I'd hit the vending machine down the hall for a big bag of Doritos and pouch of cookies "to tide me over until dinner". Then I'd hit a drive-thru on the way home because "I worked hard and I'm starving, and I deserve some fast food as a reward". This time, I just had a few bites of sunflower seed butter from a jar I keep in my desk... it was much better for my blood sugar, and kept me full until I got home and could eat some of the healthy dinner my husband had waiting for me.35

Went to the gym this morning, and got up the guts to go to the squat/bench area in front of all the gym beasts! I only put on 30 pounds of weight, because I just want to get a feel for my form and because squatting my own weight is really enough exercise most days. And one of the muscle-bound dudes complimented is my form; said it was great! I'll take it!37

I picked up some furniture by myself the other day that was relatively easy to handle. A couple of months ago the same furniture was a nightmare. I am amazed at the strength I've gained just from two weeks of bodyweight exercises. Everything I do is becoming easier.24

Three NSV:
1.) For the first time in ages, I am dedicated more than ever to lose this weight and get healthy. I am in a place in my life where I have learned from all my previous failed attempts at weight loss and also that anything in life worth fighting for is going to be hard but also rewarding. I am worth the fight and the investment. Truly knowing and believing that last statement is my first NSV.
2.) Though summer is almost over, this has been the first year (and first summer season) that I have wanted to rock a plus size bikini. In years past, I would have been so self conscious that I would not have even been caught at a pool let alone in a one piece swimsuit because of my weight. I am beginning to love myself and my body now rather than waiting until I....(reach whatever goal I had). Loving myself is my second NSV.
3.) I am 9 days clean from sugar and I am also a baker. In a little while I will be making some Slutty Brownies as a dessert for a dinner with my brother and stepmom. Normally, this would be my downfall because I 'wouldn't want to miss out' and I would have one tonight with them (or maybe even before hand, ya know, as a taste test), but it would never end there. That one brownie would give me enough reason to binge on more sugar and ruin a 9 day streak. Nowadays I am not even stressing about it. Telling myself 'No' even in social settings where declining an invitation to eat something unhealthy is my third NSV.30 -

I run the 4.3 miles to work a few times a week. This morning when I was almost there, I decided to run as fast as I could down a hill. My pace is usually 14 min/mile. Running down the hill, I checked my Fitbit and it said 8 min! Shocking. I have never ever seen a single digit for my pace. Lowest I had seen before was 11min. And I didn't even feel like I was dying, although it did make me realize I need a smaller sports bra!!26

Today at work I was feeling like my outfit didn't look right and that's because my jeans are super loose on my butt/thighs!!!! These pants were borderline too tight a couple months ago24
-
I bit the bullet and finally hired a personal trainer. We had our first workout today and the success story is: I did not die.56

Did something funny to some muscles in my back/shoulder area. Severely inhibited neck mobility and a precise yet strongly radiating pain were the main issues come Monday morning.
-I did not use this as an excuse to become a complete lump in both physical activity and food choices.
-I also didn't freak the FREAK out about not getting in my normal workouts. (HUGE deal b/c I used to have a total addiction mindset, I can be very all or nothing)
-I looked at the problem logically. (I'm most definitely a feeler/dreamer) Sore/knotted muscles. Movement brings blood flow and warmth to said muscles for healing/stretching. I did modified bodyweight cardio/abs on Monday & on Tuesday (usually heavy legs) I did a bodyweight leg workout.
-Success! Both days led to a good sweat & nice warm muscles which lent to good stretching and some appropriate alignment "pops" leading to completely reduced pain today! On day 3!
-I'm so pleased in the ways that my regular fitness routine 1. Prevents this from happening more than it would. 2.enables me to make smart choices and provided the foundation for the limberbess I needed to help my body sort itself out.24 -
My regular hikes have a time limit of about an hour. I hike as far as I can get in about half the time - or until I begin to feel tired - then turn around. It's rough terrain and the views are great.
The NSV is that my hikes have been getting progressively longer, because I'm going faster. Last week, I almost didn't notice how far I'd gone, because I passed the halfway point without getting even a little tired. I felt like I could easily have gone on for a couple of hours.26 -
I just realized I have stopped checking the weight limits when buying sports equipment. I bought a kayak last week and never even bothered to check the weight limit or thought about whether or not my big butt would fit. Rewind a year ago to when I went kayaking for the first time and I had to ask the tour guide for a different kayak because I didn't fit in the first one I tried. I decided I loved kayaking and did some window shopping by checking the tags to see which kayaks would support my weight. Not any more.39
-
I stopped requesting a table over a booth because of the fear that my stomach wouldn't fit in the booth. (At my heaviest, sometimes I couldn't fit). Now I just sit wherever, even in the chairs with arms, I used to avoid those like the plague.35

I bit the bullet and finally hired a personal trainer. We had our first workout today and the success story is: I did not die.
@jaedwa1 My first trainer had a shirt that said:
Crawling is acceptable
Falling is acceptable
Puking is acceptable
Pain is acceptable
Blood is acceptable
QUITTING IS NOT

First day c25k - the NSV is that my husband is doing it with me! He has a sedentary job and really needs to do something active, but has been resisting the idea up until now. He used to be an Airborne Ranger and says he's already put in enough miles for one lifetime. So today he was the one out of breath while I was fine - and since we are both competitive, it's on baby!27

Lifted 2,000,000 lbs since june 6th!35

A 19-year-old gym bro told me I was "yoked" last night.23

my big girl pants that were to tight when I bought them are loose.26

We are going on a cruise next week. When I told my husband about my plans to limit alcohol and try to eat healthy breakfasts and lunches every day, he said he wants to do that too! And for himself, not just to support me.
If we had gone on a cruise any other year, it would've been a question of how much can we consume without exploding42 -
Yesterday I put on a pair of shorts that was very tight last summer and they fit perfectly.26
