You can NOT FAIL you just have to stick at a sustainable calorie deficit, already beyond E this year, lost 35lb and intend on losing around another 25-35lb by the end of the year.5

20-30 lbs would be great.

I'm already in maintenance so A.0

I'm bmi 18.6 so A but if it would be healthy and not putting me at possible risk I'd say B0

Failure happens when people have no plan or commitment to it. There's also REASONABLE weight loss. There's like 4 months left in the year. Someone saying they would want to lose 100lbs likely has NO CHANCE to do that.

13.2 to get into the lower weight class when competing, but only if I didn't lose any strength.1
-
A. But I'd lose fat and gain muscle.2

There are 21 weeks left in 2017 and I'm eating TDEE-500 so, arguably, I will lose 21 more pounds. I'm expecting to perhaps lose a bit more since I have over 100 pounds to lose and at TDEE-500, I'm losing at close to two pounds/week.1

5 pounds. I'm on the highest end of my maintenance range and would like to get to the lower end before the holidays (when I will go back up ).1

Trying to lose 11 lbs by Oct 31st. I have a plan this time. Before I just said I wanted to lose the last 10 lbs but never set up any other goals along with it so I stalled.0

Approximately 10 more pounds by Nov. 11th. So (B). That will get me just under 150 before my Cancun Trip. And I won't fail because I have a good solid plan...LOL
After that my goal is (A), TO STAY THE SAME! That seems to be VERY hard for me to do.1 -
Right now at B...but E x5 lol0
-
At my current rate of loss, E at about 30 pounds. More realistically, C or D at about 15-20 pounds because I have no desire to keep losing as quickly as I have been.0
-
E, 20 pounds but realistically my body could probably only lose 150
-
B. I just want to lose 3kg to get a nice healthy BMI of 221
-
E. I mean, if not failing means both a healthy rate of loss and building sustainable habits, I'd go for two pounds a week through the end of the year. As it is, I'm expecting around 1/3rd to 1/4th of that, as that's what I'm finding sustainable.1

Well, I've already hit E. But my goal was 100lbs before Christmas. I started in May & I'm about 32lbs from that goal now.1

My goal, with no calendar date assigned to it, is to reach 160 and try to maintain there. I expect that if I continue to live in a calorie deficit, which for purposes of this discussion is the meaning of "NOT FAIL", I will reach 160 and be within my chosen range of maintenance by the end of calendar year 2017. It's no big deal if I do or I don't. I'm just living in a calorie deficit.
Presently, I'm (B) away from 160.1 -
I'm 20lbs away from my goal weight... I'm hoping I can do it by Christmas, but I won't be disappointed if it takes a bit longer.0
-
I'm almost at goal, so I'm down to my last 3-5 pounds before starting a slow, clean bulk.0
-
E.
my goal weight is about 40 lbs away0 -
E 32 down so far - on track for 52 this year2
-
Lost 44 lbs already this year. Around 10 to go to hit my target and be in the healthy BMI range.0
-
I originally interpreted "this year" as being the next 12 months not just to the end of 2017.
Before 2018 starts my answer would change to about 10 lbs would be nice.
I've never set a deadline on my loss so I don't consider it a failure if I don't lose a certain amount by Jan 1st though.0 -

If I couldn't fail? Another 10-15 vanity pounds to see if it would affect running speed slightly or not.
Realistically though, I'm often lazy or loose in weighing my food every couple of weeks, so it won't be happening this year. I'm losing, but incredibly slowly. Aiming for next spring.0 -
