Becoming horrendously self conscious...

Of my stomach jiggles.

I almost didn't go for my jog today because I thought it would be too uncomfortable.
It feels like bread dough, there's WAY too much movement going on there for my liking.

I ended up putting on a pair of spanx so I could run in peace. :D

I do a bit of core exercises at the end of my cardio as a cool down. Mostly sit ups and reverse crunches.
I've moved up from 3 to 5lb dumbbells (which I know isn't much but I have noooo arm strength)

I've lost 30lbs (since tracking)
About 35 more to go, I'm 5'1"
My highest weight about 7 years back was 225-220
I'm now down from 186 to 156lbs since the first of April.

Anyone else deal with the jiggles?
Anything you've done to help?
Maybe it'll just be lose skin, maybe it'll tighten soon.
Either way it's getting on my damn nerves.

    Love the gif.

Have a read of this thread, it should help you.

You still have 35 lbs to go. For some of us the belly fat is the last to go, and for a while can look like a half deflated balloon.
Try to work some kind of strength training programme into your gym routine.

    Cheers, h.

Spanx or similar was going to be my suggestion.

Good quality compression capris w higher waist! I can't breathe wearing spanx, lol, but I found some UA & other brands @ TJ Max a few weeks ago that are perfect! "Try them on before you buy" is something I have to keep reminding myself to do :-)

There are underpants at Walmart which advertise they are used for the tummy jiggles. They feel a little bit heavier than microfiber. They are designed to pull higher up over the jiggly stuff.

You can't spot reduce so the crunches etc aren't going to make a direct impact, it's fat and skin. And people often get quite squishy while losing but it all firms up at some point and then you'll know what might be loose skin versus fat.

I don't mind the fat being there I know It's going to go with hard work I just hate the jiggles, it only started about a week or two ago when I started running.
I guess I was just used to it being a rock hard lump when I was bigger and now there's more room in there for everything to bouce around haha.

As for spot reducing do I ever know that's not a thing, I have little shoulders and legs now and a big ol belly. I lose there last.
I just want to be able to run and not feel like my stomach is going to smack off my chin haha.

    One day!!!
    Thanks for the responses. :)

Well I have lost many, many lbs and everything jiggles. My legs, my arms, I do not know about my stomach, but I have so much going on it is hard to determine what is not jigglingl

I actually feel like I jiggle more after losing the weight. I used to have fat everywhere so it all like, moved together. Now I have lean areas that surround areas with a bit of fat. I think I can feel that fat that's left move around more because it's isolated and doesn't have any other fat to be supported by. I also wear tights when I run to help with this.

I love it that you put the damn spanx on and ran anyway!! Huge thumbs up for that. I was supposed to run this morning while it was still cool, but my bed was sooo cozy... well, now I'm going to have to run even though it's hot out. But run I will!!

Compression clothing is the bomb... I've found it can really hold everything in place. It does feel tight, but that's the way it works. Maybe it would help.

I am going through a jiggly phase right now. So glad it's too hot to run. I fourth the high waisted compression bottoms.

Old Navy also carries cheap compression capris, or I found some by Champion that have a pocket on the side that is large enough to hold an iPhone. I once (and only once) tried running in some UA running shorts with the built-in unders and wouldn't pass anyone one because my butt felt so floppy. I'm so glad you ran anyway, keep it up!
