Weekend Treats

Options
Hi everyone, I have what I call "weekend treats" on Saturday and Sunday that go over my limit by a set amount: 250 calories over for Saturday, and 250 calories over for Sunday, or no more than 500 calories over my calorie limit on either Saturday or Sunday (since 250x2 is 500). I do this so that I can indulge a little, in moderation, with something to look forward to on the weekends, and have had success so far losing weight. What are people's thoughts on this or "cheat days"?

That sounds like a version of intermittent fasting. If it's working for you keep doing it.

If you're having success with it, I can't see any reason to change what you're doing. The old saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" comes to mind.

I eat a chocolate bar a day. I fit it into my calorie allowance. It is the only way I can stay on track

I do something similar.. I eat a bit less during the week so I can eat more on weekends. My weekly calorie total still remains a deficit so it works out perfect for me.

Thats a great idea. I might give this a try see what i can achieve from this. Probably much better than my "3 hours time frame cheat" i have once weekly.

I have treats everyday, not just weekends. As long as it fits into my daily Calories, I have as many as I want. Cake, muffins, donut, you name it. I couldn't go a week without treats and if I did, I would definitely end up binging on them on the weekends.
