This is my chilli recipe and I just adapt it too whether I want it veggie or meat.
Use a non stick pan:
Fry 5% mince beef (no added oil for frying) then drain fat off mince once browned.
3tsn chilli powder (I use extra hot)
Add fresh chillies if desired
1.5-2tsp ground cumin
1.5-2tsp ground coriander
1tsp paprika
3 garlic cloves roughly chopped
1tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/3 tsp cinnamon.
1Tbsp tomato purée
1 Tsp Worcester sauce
1 Tsp marmite.
400g chopped tomatoes.
400g passata.
400g kidney beans with juice
Beef oxo cube
Add herb if desired
1-1.5 Tbsp white flour
Veggie version:
Replace meat with
400g can baked beans with juice,
400g mixed bean salad
Remove juice from kidney beans.
I hope you enjoy this meal and if there's any suggestions I can do too improve this recipe please let me know.
Thank you

Why would you leave out oil, choose the leanest meat, and then drain the small amount of fat left to enhance flavor?1

Marmite in chili, that's one I haven't heard before!0

Not sure about cumin, ginger or especially cinnamon in chilli con carne, especially the amount you recommend. How much meat do you use with that sauce? Why do you need flour? That seems an unnecessary calorie item given that you seem to want to keep it low cal with using low fat mince and draining too. I like onion in mine too. But that's just my opinion, if that's the way you enjoy it, have at it!0

i use 5% mince, it doesn't have any fat to be able to drain off...0 -

i would imagine the flour is to thicken it?0 -
It's 500g mince beef. I just prefer too drain the fat but yeah I agree there's very little fat in 5% mince. My other half is always going on at me about how anal I get about eating.
Yeah the flour is too thicken it out.
I find a recipe is a guideline so adjust where you feel necessary.
Try the recipe and please leave some feedback on here so I know how too improve it as would love too make it better.
Thanks for the comments0 -
Yeah I add a large white onion too it too0
