    Hi guys, I'm Ashley. When I played softball in high school, an up and down was where you stood up completely then laid down flat over and over with no assistance and no pause. It's tougher than it sounds. ughh....

    total goal weight-175
    Aug goal weight-236
  • Hey everyone. Im sooo excited to get myself into shape and work like crazy to help out our team and most of all accomplish what I've been trying to do for years. SHED THESE POUNDS!! I've had a few complications with my health and my goal is to get off of Blood pressure meds.
    I'm totally new at this so hope I gave you all the info.

    Hello everyone! This is my first challenge on MFP. I'm hoping it will help hold me accountable and to help me jump start my weight loss. I am 30 years old and currently weigh 174. A realistic goal for me this month would be to lose 8 pounds. Ready to get this started and very excited!

    Newbie question! :)

    I assume when the challenge reads not to go over on calories that means end total, right? (or more simply: we should still eat some of our exercise points, just not end up in the red for the whole day, yes?)

    And me to the pile of no idea what an up and down is. :)

    up and downs are burpees and i HATE them but i will try my upmost best. Love the idea of points for completing challenges, some real motivation

    it's a burpee, squat down with your hands by your fit, kick you fett out to a push up position then back again, stand up and do it all over again

    You don't have to do them in one shot. You can break them into sets. 8 sets of 5, 4 sets of 10, whatever. That's what I have to do!

    Got my jumping jacks (haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate) done first thing this morning. I've planned my calories for the day and have stuck by it so far. The challenges for me today are going to be getting my regular work out in, and drinking enough water.

    Hope everyone is off to a great start!
  • I've done my pilates and regular cardio/weight training. Working on these jumping jacks. I DESPISE them!!! I've only done 70 so far. The rest will be done soon!! 64+++ oz. of water logged already for the day as well! You guys can do this! Don't forget to message me your starting weight so I can properly record your weight loss!!!

    Do we have to log the jumping jacks special to make sure it counts?
    Do we need to post here daily that we did the challenges? (this is my first mfp challenge - not sure how it works).
    Could we log in at the end of the week with a daily report (might make Jill's job easier?)

    I'm very psyched to drop some weight this month.

  • jumping jacks are done-- My normal workouts are three times a week. Did some walking will try to get more in.

    I'm super excited!!! The jumping jacks weren't that bad but I'm totally dreading the up and downs.
