I watched a lot of YouTube videos and did a little research on Intermittent Fasting.. Is anyone doing this diet here? Share your thoughts or experiences please!

It is simply a way to structure your calorie intake....weight loss all comes down to calorie deficit if that is your goal...3

I do it, but not really on purpose...it's just the way I eat. I eat my first meal at about 12 and my last by about 7-7:30. I've eaten this way almost my whole life...I think CICO is really all that matter though.1

With IF is 3 meals and one snack too much? I'm doing 16/8 11am -7pm so I'm using it to bring my calories up from 1,110 to about 1,300 now and not cutting carbs. I heard IF will help regulate the insulin. I'm assuming the carbs is the reason I gained weight but it's only been a week. How long until you see results?2

Your maintenance calories vs. 1300 calories. If the difference is 500 calories each day, then expect 1 pound a week. Carbs are not a reason for weight gain unless they bring you over your maintenance calories.
Not much scientific evidence on IF. Lots of "this happened to me" type thing. The problem with anecdotal evidence is a number of other factors could have contributed. Did IF'ers start exercise? Did IF'ers eat a diet closer to what Dr's recommend for diabetes? ANY weight loss is going to improve some health markers........

Similar thread from earlier today (many more like them if you search). You'll find lots of threads discussing this. Be sure to differentiate between IF as an eating schedule versus IF as a diet. It's not a diet.
