Often times on myfitnesspal we get users asking about various diets such as one where you eat all bananas or one where you drink cayenne pepper and lemon juice daily.

I wanted to make a brief video to talk about whether or not diets like this are a good idea and why or why not? And if not, what's a reasonable alternative?

This post has been approved by the moderators and this video is hosted on a non monetized channel and I only post that for disclosure purposes.

Not sure if they can, since I'm new here, but I think the mods should pin this topic. It's some good practical advice everyone should have.

Watched the video-great information for beginners. I can only add that the vitamins and nutrients that one gets from food variety is good for overall health and energy. Some people just want to lose the weight at any cost, but not knowing what that cost can be long term. Be smart-be safe, and good luck to the new people on here.

Hi I just started working out and I'm starting off slow by walking. I know diet and exercise is key in losing weight, so my question is have you heard of the Keto diet if so what is your thoughts?
