Net carbs

I'm trying to stay around 20 net carbs per day, does the total carbs shown in nutrition chart reflect net carbs or total carbs?

    It can be done.
Get a team of scientist to put together a meal plan for you.

On a serious note, why would you want to drop your carbs so low?

It's total. Net carbs is total minus fiber and/or sugar alcohols.

    It's total carbs.

If you want you can track fiber, then just do a quick mental subtraction in your head. Takes a second. Go to Food/Settings and change one of the columns tracked to Fiber.

It depends where you live. If you are in the US, it's total carbs. Most places in Europe I believe is net carbs.

Also, since you are going ketogenic, make sure you get adequate sodium/potassium/magnesium so you can balance electrolytes.

But they were asking about this site. It depends on how the food was entered into the database, and the administrative database (not the user-entered stuff) is US based, so that would be total carbs.

amirite? Or did I misunderstand? Again.

Well, if it's a UK based company, it would be net carbs because that would be how the labeling is structured. Although, in the end, it's very easy to fact check if you just do 4g per carb, 4g per protein and 9g per fat.

I do this to work out net carbs for daily totals and meals. My question is; What formula can we use to see if this calculated net carb amount falls in the right % total, with fats and proteins.
