Always loved a baked potato n tuna mayo, realised the other day it's been ages since I last made it for dinner.
I will probably always love it with tuna mayo but what do you top your potato with? I may steal a few of your ideas. Looking to widen my baked potato horizons......

We sometimes will use the fresh chip dips (french onion, etc.) sold in the cold section of the grocery store. They aren't huge on calories for a couple tbsp and make a plain old baked potato taste better.3

I have swapped mayo for reduced fat cream cheese. Less cals, a bit more protein, yummy!2

Cottage cheese? Reduced fat if you don't have the cals for full fat.1 -

I once heard that Jackie O. would often eat a baked potato that was absolutely slathered in butter, and with a big scoop of caviar in it, and that would be her food for a whole day (an intermittent fasting pioneer?). Ok we can't all afford caviar, though a less exorbitant fish roe could be swapped in; I've tried it with tarama for example. I also chucked some chopped green onions on top.1

laughing cow cheese wedge and salsa. Or I shred chicken breast with a little BBQ Sauce. I love baked potatoes.2

I switched to sweet potato and just put some butter on it. I was a sucker for butter and sour cream on the baked variety.1

I can't even remember the last time I had a baked potato. I don't like them unless there is a lot of butter on them. I had a friend that used to put ketchup on them.0

I top mine with light Ranch dressing. I also drizzle it over my veggies. Ranch makes everything better.2

I sometimes get the boxed Indian Fare dishes from Trader Joe's (Madras Lentil, Juniper Vegetable, etc).
They are not the most "authentic" dishes, but are very filling and taste great over a baked potato.0 -
Butter, fresh cracked black pepper, celtic gray sea salt, chives or green onions and assorted herbs, and 0% plain greek yogurt to nail my protein macro.
Alternatively: sauteed zucchini and peppers, ranch dressing, and Frank's hot sauce.1 -
Man, what won't I eat on a baked potato? Veggies, meat, butter, salsa, salt and pepper, cheese- just throw it all on there.5

I usually do butter, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheddar. But I am liking some of these ideas.2

I've substituted sour cream for plain greek yogurt. Absolutely delicious!2

I make a meal of it. Cottage cheese topped with salsa with veg on the side. Usually broccoli or cauliflower.
I LOVE potatoes.0 -
I second Laughing Cow Cheese. So tasty and lo-cal...0

If I am having it as a meal I like chicken and bbq sauce. If it is a side then a small amount of butter and sour cream. For sweet potatoes I use a small amount of butter and brown sugar.
ETA I've never tried it with tuna, but I think tuna and guacamole sounds pretty good.0 -
Depends on what's around. I like chili & cheese and also broccoli & bacon crumbles. But I will eat them plain with only butter too.0

I like to make several slits in the potato but not cut all the way through (when raw; prior to baking) and then place slices of onion in the slits. Wrap in foil and bake. Just a bit of butter and salt to eat. Yum!3

Tuna on a potato??? How have I never tried this?????????0

Topped with cooked broccoli and a slice of any cheese; pop into the microwave just until cheese is melted. Sometimes add some canned mushroom slices before the cheese. A pinch of sea salt. That makes a dinner for me.0

I usually just have mine plain as a side veg. But I used to have them topped with chili for a meal. And topping them with curry is brilliant and must be done soon.0
