the out of shape and lazy challenge

On MFP since a little more than a month, I have lost 5 pounds already. I'm very happy but have expected more.
My strength is I changed totally my nutrition since a month. I'm very proud of it and not ashamed anymore of my diary.
My weakness is: I don't move. I mean I really don't. I stick to my computer all day (looking for exercise programs and gadgets:noway: ) searching forum and the web and playing games. It is so hard to me to move. I don't have the motivation and I'm not in good shape. I began Leslie Samsone walking video this week but I stopped after 3 days because of the heat. I bought myself a rower 2 months ago and I did a lot in the beginning but I over exerted myself and I had to stop for 3 weeks. I now stay sit for so long that I can't use my rower because of my sore buttock.:sad: Every excuse is good to do nothing. :devil:
They say you can only improve one habit at a time. Now for me it is time for this one. So I'm starting a challenge for those who face the same weaknesses.
I'm 52 and can't expect to start with 30 days shred. So my challenge is to do 15 minutes of exercise a day. I mean any exercise count and 15 minutes is the daily minimum there is no maximum and no rest day. Good if you do more but don't do less.

My second day was not bad at all. I walked with relatives. They are in good shape so I had to walk faster and longer. Anything that keep you moving is good. My walk was welcome after my copious dinner. :drinker:

Today it was hard to get motivated. I mowed the lawn with my on board mower then I did not wanted to do anything else:noway: . I sat in front of the tv and had to shake myself at 9:00 to do my 15 minutes. I finally got on the rower. I'm happy I did my rower without butt pain for first time since 2 weeks. :drinker:

Rowing is a good exercise. Tonight I was all sweat. Much more calories than walking the same time. It was just difficult to make the decision to do it but at 8:30 I had no more choice. I used to row in the morning which I like much better. Tomorrow will be a walking day if we don't have rain.

Hi Jeanne! and Welcome!
The goal is simple. You have to do minimum of 15 minutes of exercise daily. Any type of exercise can be registed. You can do more if you like but do at least everyday your 15 minutes. As time goes by everyone will be able to increase the time.
You can report daily to get extra motivation.
here is how to do it. Juste copy and paste the following form on your nexts messages and fill in the blanks.

Jane, I see yout favorite exercise is the same as mine - swimming! I haven't got to swim this week - we were out of town 3 days and my blood sugar took a nose dive on Mon so I couldn't drive or do much of anything. Hope to go tomorrow.
