Which 30lbs?
I've lost over 120 total, so depending which 30lbs you're talking about it has taken me everywhere from 2.5 months to 1 year.0 -
30 lbs. was all I had to lose, and I'm 4 lbs. away from that. I started somewhere in mid-January.0

When I started out losing weight, going from 191 to about 160 or so took around an entire summer (I was going to the gym during the summer between college semesters).
After that it came off much more slowly. I am about 145 now and would like to lose around 25 or so pounds. I would love it for the weight to come off in a month or 2 like before, but I am setting my goal for the end of 2011.0 -
3.5 months, but I suspect the first 5 was water weight, then about 1.5 per week, and a couple weeks I was sick with the flu and barely ate. 1 to 1.5lb per week is the recommended weight. People who have more to lose will lose a greater amount in the beginning then it will even out.0

I think it was about 4 months.0

Everyone loses weight at a different rate. People who have a significantly large amount to lose can lose it faster than someone whose goal is only 30 pounds. Metabolically, smaller individuals burn less calories at rest.0

About 7 months to go from upwards of 160# to 130.5#.0

I was about 65 days to drop 28. I think I dropped it so quickly since MFP under-estimated what my calories should have been. When I switched to maintenance - I kept losing so that's why I'm pretty sure they under-estimated my calories.
A tip if you are dropping 30 lbs is to make sure you have a belt - you'll need it.:glasses:0 -
about 2.5 months for my last 30lbs, but I have plenty to lose so it's coming off fairly steadily at the moment.0

5 months, but that was with a few weeks off here and there. I wasn't very disciplined for a while.0

I've lost 35lbs in 5 months xx0

Last year I went from 185 to 155 in about two and a half months. But that may have been too fast because it started coming back pretty quickly. Now I'm trying to do it all over again.0

I am trying to lose 30 total. I started MFP on February 15th and still currently have 6 pounds to go. So for me, losing 30 pounds has taken 5-1/2 months and counting....0

I was trying to lose 30-32 lbs total, and I've lost 30 so far. It's taken pretty close to 7 months for me.0
