I saw these really awesome running boots. I had never heard of running boots before . I was trying to figure out how I am going to still run this winter, I hate the treadmill. Has anyone tried running boots before? Ill put the link below!

I was thinking they are really expensive too. I bet I can find some different ones cheaper. But they are cheaper than a treadmill!

I am curious as to how they would feel around my legs. I wasn't sure if anyone had ever used running boots. I live in Maine, so I would need something starting around the end of October. I was planning on trying to water proof my running sneakers.

Icebug makes running shoes with metal studs, the company website is buggy but here's an amazon search link, not super expensive

urgh, screwed up link, just search Amazon, 50-150$
  • I ran in NW Ohio before moving to TN. I never had an issue running in the winter with regular running shoes. Some people add different things for traction, but I never had to.

Last winter I ran several times on trails here in SE Tennessee after it had snowed 8 inches. I wore my regular trail running shoes and had a great time with no issues.

The running boots look like a gimmick to me.

Snow is not as much a bother as icy roads, don't want broken wrists

I agree. Many runners use Yak Trax or sheet metal screws screwed into the bottom of an old pair of running shoes.

    A lot cheaper than $275.
