Hi my name is jenny I'm 30 from yorkshire. Turning 30 this year made me wonder about the damage I put my body through my late teens and 20s such as smoking and binge drinking. I've just recently given up smoking and now I'm trying so hard to watch what I eat and exercise most days. I just want someone to keep me going I don't want to put more weight than I already have!! Please help

Hi Jenny, welcome! You've already taken huge steps, both by quitting smoking and joining up here. Let MFP and the community here become a habit, we're all in this too.

Since you're in the UK, I highly recommend the NHS 12-week plan (http://www.nhs.uk/Livewell/fitness/Pages/12-week-fitness-plan.aspx) It is effective and in small steps, so you don't feel like you have to move the world all at once.

You can do this. You already are :)

Hi im also from yorkshire and 32. I'm wanting to lose 2 stone. I keep stopping and starting and need to just stick with it. I find I do best when I have someone to talk to about losing weight and sticking to goals and making new exercise goals.
I'm currently aiming to walk 15k steps a day and also doing 30 seconds plank every evening and drinking at least 2ltrs of water.

    Anna
