I love to cook but I am no Pakistani but am curious as to how the food is so different. Can you explain? I always though food was food or ingredients ingredients.

You could reduce your carb intake by getting rid of the fried potato and chapati for a start. Smaller portions of rice or substitute with cauliflower rice.

Try using butter ghee or coconut oil rather than vegetable / seed oils if you can.

Hi I'm half Pakistani and half Indian. Just joined MFP yesterday. I cooked chickpeas daal today. I added all the calories for everything before starting, then once it was cooked I counted how many spoonfuls I had made. Then I divided the amount of total calories by the spoons so now I know that each large spoonful is so many calories.
