Sooo I watched the 2 seasons of Sopranos and watching Season 1 of Big Love. Not too sure if I'll be watching a second season of the latter.

What next?

Sons of Anarchy. That was my next series after Sopranos. If you liked sopranos, i think you'll like SOA.

I'm pretty sure SOA isn't a HBO show

Well considering Gemma is my profile pic I think I already seen SoA but that's not even HBO

I agree though SoA and Sopranos are very similar

young pope isn't a period drama. It's contemporary. The Vatican just exists in a time bubble in the real world.

Oh I was imagining it was periodical .. so it's like a Catholic West Wing?

I might try Ballers .. Rock is okay when he's in the ring anyway

I also highly recommend the Weight of a Nation documentary series. It'll terrify you and you will definitely stick to any diet and exercise plans you're on for a solid month without even thinking about it.

He's a pretty good actor, better series actor than movies anyway.

If you are new to HBO since the Sopranos then I would also recommend the following lol

True Detective (Season 2 is better than 1)
    The Wire
    Band of Brothers
    and
Westworld (currently one of my faves besides GoT's)

Definitely The Wire. One of the seasons (I think it was 2) was kind of 'meh', but the others are outstanding.
Also, Veep. Hysterical show with a great cast.

Rock has kinda gotten a Will Smith level kind of annoyance for me. Idk why .. thanks for the recs

I tried to get into it, because I love Buschemmi, but I couldn't stay interested past about mid-way through season 2.

I love Shameless but I got rid of showtime.

For HBO, an oldie but I consider a goodie is Sex and The City

If you like Gemma, consider Animal Kingdom (TNT) - the family matriarch on that show (Smurf, played by Ellen Barkin) has a lot of similarities and may be to your liking.

It was on years ago, but In Treatment is a great show.

And Six Feet Under! The first two seasons of The Newsroom too, the third season is terrible.
