Tbh, it sounds like you need a different seamstress. If you can find one that can alter the dress in time, if do that.

im getting married next year (twice actually LMAO - civil ceremony in feb than real ceremony in spring for Friends/ family LOL) and i ordered my dress on MEASUREMENTS. it fits PERFECT. ill have to have it taken in before the ceremony, but easier to take in than let out.

im not a seamstress, so i dont know the ins and outs of the profession, but it seems she failed

Hi guys! I just wanted to update everyone about my dress!

My seamstress has brought my dress up and it looks beautiful. I expressed my concerns in person about it being too tight as I couldn't take a deep breath. I tried it on and I was able to sit in it, walk in it and she put two fingers in the back of my dress to show how much room I still had in it. I suppose I have to just accept it's a firm dress? Has anyone experienced this as well with their wedding dress?

I think it looks beautiful, and like it fits perfectly. I mentioned my dress experience above - my dress stretched over the day, and definitely wasn't as firm/tight as it was at my final fitting 2 days prior.

Ya when I tried on dresses some of them were so stiff they would have stood up on their own! Lol. It looks great. You only have to wear it for the day so just have a great day!
