Is cheese evil? i love cheese. To enjoy it I have started using grilled haloumi light with a salad. Is this ok? Or is cheese best forbidden from my diet forever!

ARGH! I hope it isn't forbidden! I love cheese...I think it is ok in moderation...just watch how much of it you eat0

no, cheese is not forbidden. Everything (including sweets) is ok in MODERATION, so as long as you don't over do it on the cheese you'll be fine.
Also yes, cheese is delicious! I love cheese!0 -
As long as it's in moderation, and you count the calories for it, why not?0

I would NEVER give up cheese. I loooove it. Moderation is good though. I try to buy cheese made with 2% milk. Also, try Laughing Cow cheese. Not sure it's really cheese, but it's good to spread on crackers!0

i am soooo a cheese lover! i have switched to part skim or 2% .... not as good but at least still having cheese
i noticed when i made that switch my fat intake was reduced and i lost a lil more that week ... play around with amount and the reduced fat and see if it makes a difference in weight loss for that week ... good luck!0 -

It's not forbidden, BUT, for me, I simply can't have cheese in the house. It's a trigger food. If you can control you intake, then by all means keep it in your diet, if you can't have it around like me, don't. (I ate a 2# chunk of extra sharp in a little under a week)0 -
i love cheese, but i try to limit it.0

I am a sucker for cheese. I try to not eat a lot of it, but sometimes I throw in some feta in a salad or some shredded on a taco.0

I love cheese. It's fine as long as you monitor the calories (about 100 per oz). I have to cut it out cause I'm watching my cholesterol. Also, it does add a lot of calories but if you enjoy it and can afford to eat it calorie wise go for it!0

i wont give up!0

I put cheese in the same category as oil, butter, chocolate and peanut butter. I eat it in a VERY controlled manner. It is 40% fat after all, and even a 30g portion has an extortionate amount of calories. Even light cheese is still 20% fat. Once you log all your food and see what a huge portion of your overall daily calories that little bit of cheese is, you realise sometimes it's not worth it! At least for me. :flowerforyou:0
