You don't have to eat anything in particular to lose weight, but you have to eat less. Use your food diary, log it, and hit your calorie goal. You don't have to try, just do.
To eat healthier, you should eat a wide variety of real, whole foods, from all the food groups: Fruit, vegetables, starches, dairy, meat/fish/eggs, nuts and seeds, butter and oils. You can eat anything you like. You have to find out what you like, if you don't already. Browse cookbooks and recipe sites. Learn how to cook.
To be able to keep eating healthier, it's smart to not try to change everything at once. You eat what you eat not just from habit, but because you like it. Moderate amounts of junk food is unproblematic, and missing what you are used to is problematic.
Set up a plan you think you can and want to stick to, try it out, and adjust as needed. It can be fun and exciting.2

It depends on your calorie limits what are good snacks but I often eat Boom Chick A Pop - 125 Calories for 3.25 cups (low fat popcorn sold at Costco). If you feel you are short on protein Low Fat String Cheese is a good one (60 Calories). Fresh Fruit is good and most comes in between 50 and 100 calories depending on size or portion. Berries are high in fibre and tend to fill you more. If your calorie limits allow it you can eat veggies with hummus but you need to be careful as hummus is not really low calorie just tasty and relatively healthy. Low Fat Greek Yogurt with fresh fruit is a good choice (not the sugar laced ones). I usually prepare my own fruit with artificial sweetner but if you don't tolerate artificial sweetner (or believe they are evil) a teaspoon of honey or maple syrup if you like it can substitute just count the extra calories. You can eat anything you like as long as you stay in a deficit caloriewise. I try to eat snacks that are reasonably healthy and lower calorie. Perhaps other people can share their favorites too. Good luck!1

Lean protein. Focusing on that really helps me. Get a food scale if you don't have one. I still have my Funyuns, but now I weigh them!1
