From a psychological perspective, eating at maintenance once a week can be encouraging. From a physiological perspective, there's no real benefit.1

Depends on why you are refeeeding. I reached my goal weight over 3 years ago. I have been sick for two weeks and eating pretty much anything I want, which is more salty foods than anything else. I've put on about 8 pounds, but I know it's mostly from the sodium. (I did cut my calorie goal today and I have stuck to it in spite of a steroid shot and antibiotics. I don't want to blow it after all this time.)
However,, when I was actively dieting, I did a refeed about once every three weeks. I ate at maintenance, about 2300 calories.
Good luck finding what works for you.0
