Looking for motivation

Been using his app for a while now, just not consistently. Any help with motivation would be great. I have always said I wanted to be in the best shape of my life b6 age 50, and holy crap, I work up the other day and realized I'm 49 and just about in the worse shape of my life. I have many excuses as to why and how this happened but that is all they are excuses. Will accept all that want to add me and I'll do my best to support everyone as well. Here's to a great new journey, Lets do it now!

It's definitely doable - I'm 44 and started seeing results after planning and tracking macros with a focus on building muscle and moderate cardio. Not sure what your specific goals are but if you want to get into the best shape of your life that probably involves less fat and more muscle. Look for transformation and recomposition like in this thread here:

Moderate calorie deficit - lift heavy - moderate but effective cardio - focus on macros! If you're not that experience in heavy lifting like me you'll see 'noob gains' - increase in muscle while burning fat.

Measure body fat % as your #1 metric, get some calipers if you don't already. I'm at 15.5% (down from about 18% at the beginning of the year) and have put on a decent amount of muscle already. I want to get close to 10% and/or shed my stomach fat (whichever comes first) then go on a bulk cycle.

Good luck and keep us posted.
