I jumped from 3km being the furthest I'd run without stopping to walk to 20.5km being the furthest without walking, taking 50min off my half marathon time and 6 minutes off my 10km time. Then less than a week later I ran the whole of parkrun (5km) for the first time taking 2mins off my official park run time and getting under 34mins for 5km.
While I'm still a plodder, what you really have to remember is that 2 years ago I couldn't walk across a room without crutches.5

I'm really cheap...so I love the closet shopping. Yesterday I realized that I might have some old clothes I can fit now in a bag of stuff I'd shoved aside for charity/rummage sales/etc. a while back to get it out of my closet. Found a pair of practically brand new jeans (I bet I didn't wear them 10 times) that fit me perfectly! I was planning on going out and buying some this week! No need now! 2 2

I think my best NSV was when I ran my first 5k and was the first woman back and the third person overall.
I had not run for a month at the time and I have COPD, so 65% lung function.
It showed me how much the mind can overcome.3

I have 3 from my recent vacation:
 1. Realized that I can't eat as much as I used to.....eating out, I ordered what I used to on vacation....appetizer, entree, dessert. Ended up wasting a lot and feeling very uncomfortable. Eventually figured out to only order entree and maybe have dessert much later.
 2. I wanted to go to the gym on vacation!!! It felt great!
 3. Despite heat indices in the triple digits every day, I had plenty of energy and no problem walking 6-10 miles per day.
And just today, I got emotional in a store fitting room....because I couldn't believe I was in size 10 pants and size M tops. (WHAT?!?!) I thought I would never see those sizes again.....5

I finally broke down and brought a bigger size pants at the beginning on the month. My old ones were to snug to be comfy, like unbutton when sitting snug. This morning I put on my too small pants and they we just a little snug. Something must be working.1
