Over the course of a couple of stressful years I gained 30 lbs and 4 sizes. I used to feel so attractive and flirty and energetic and now I just feel so...meh. Anyone else go from hot to not relatively quickly?

Well, I was already carrying an extra 35lbs, but on my 5'10" frame it didn't look too bad, but then due to a hugely stressful family situation and 2 new meds, I packed on -- get ready for it -- 60 lbs in just over 4 months. Still working on getting it off almost 2 years later. :(

In 2014 I lost 83 pounds. I looked awesome. I felt even better. A massive back injury and depression and I put it all back on. I'm finally coming out of that funk. Now down 43lbs again and I have my sights set on the next 40. I did it once...I can do it again. You're in the right place to turn things around.

Yeah. 5years ago I was using mfp and lost about 20 lbs and was really into working out and stuff and was in really good shape and looked really good. then I started working full time, had another kid.. and just kinda stopped caring. My husband has always been attracted to me no matter what but if I look in the mirror and don't like what I see then it's not enough

Back in 2009 I went from 253 to 185 and on my 5'6 frame I was thick and I like being a little on the thick side and so did the guys checking me out/hitting on me back then. I was pretty damn hot if I do say so myself LoL! But life happened and I went through a divorce then I got back with an ex and popped out two babies back to back and never did lose the weight from those pregnancies. I went through a very stressful time in my life with the father of my children and we ended up going our separate ways this past May. Now I'm a single mom trying to get my body back. I'm at my heaviest weight ever 287

"My Big Fat Greek Wedding" is the answer...

I've been doing this for 6 months or so and have lost a lot of weight and gained back a little bit, but back on the losing side.

I thought I had found the easiest program to lose weight at first, then I slacked off too much and fell right back into old eating habits.....

Get yourself motivationed, it's so cool when you step on the scale and see results.

If I can do it anyone can

Trivia- "I don't remember frump girl, but I remember you."

Kicking yourself is not a required step to turning this around. Start trying to look your best today. Then try for better if you want. And then more better. It works.

You deserve the life you want to the extent it's within your control.

Love this! Fantastic advice. Thank you!

Yep I can feel your pain on this. I lost 32 pounds with MFP and maintained for 2 years (yeah I have been here forever) Then I gave up smoking and gained back 28 pounds. I also developed Arthritis so now I have gone from fit and healthy to fat and in pain in 18 months.

Desperately trying to get my head back in the game and lose the weight. Struggling with it so badly at the moment.

Dang took you a couple years. I gained almost a hundred when my mom died, no idea how long it took. But has taken a while to take off! The point is now you are feeling meh and you attribute part or all of that to having gained weight. Which is great, now you know the cause of your meh'ness and start doing something about it before it is 50, 60 or 100. Be mindful of what you eat and move more. That is about it. :)

I had my 3rd child and returned to a nice healthy weight. I wish I could blame baby weight but that isn't what happened. We moved and I was miserable and gained 50 lbs in the last 3 years. I used to get looks and get hit on. One day I realized that had stopped.

This resonated with me. I actually have pictures saved on my phone from 2 years ago to remind me of when I was at my goal weight. It's been a long, stressful 2 years since then and I've went up two pants sizes, lost muscle tone, and gained weight in all the wrong places. Sigh... I'll get back there!

Ohhhh mama, I feel ya. Same. Realized I wasn't getting the "eye" anymore...tried to be pragmatic about it but that *kitten* hurts.
