Two and a half years ago I had gastric bypass surgery and of course weight was coming off. Now the last year I have gained about 30 pounds back. I never lost all the weight I wanted to start with and now I see the scale going the wrong way.

I'm scared I went through it all for nothing of I don't get this under control.

You can do this! Baby steps.. start by taking a short walk every day. Each day add 1 more min. to your routine!

Anything easy is not worth the trouble. -Theodore Rosevelt.

There is no magic pill and no magic surgery that can help you. It has to be will power and determination. Consider this a lesson learned. Now time to improve yourself with actual effort and build life long good habits. If a paraplegic patient can out stubborn his diagnosis and learn to walk again, a binge eater can learn to control what goes between their lips. It won't be easy, but easy never wins.
  • But, you're here now. The most important thing is that you haven't given up. Now is the time to stop looking back at past mistakes and begin to see today as a new beginning for you...One day at a time. You can do this!

Could you go back to your post surgical team and see what their suggestions are? Sometimes will help you with supplementation and monitoring while you go back on the post-op diet. Your needs will be different, but this is where the hard work is, making the needed changes. It is all within your control, but you need to take that control and run with it.
